"Get up we're leaving," Kaz spoke from the door frame. I sat up in my bed, frightened by the sudden voice. I'd been sleeping but lightly enough to hear someone walk around and yet he didn't make a sound.
Observing the door, he was nowhere to be seen.

Ghost, I thought.

Hanging my legs over the bed frame I crabbed my green jacket from the nightstand and tossed it over my shoulders before standing up and butting my black army boots on.
I'd slept in the rest of my clothes for comfort and warmth. Kaz clearly didn't give the temperature of his dorm a second thought.

"Let's go." He spoke with impatience as he held the door open for me.

"Are we going to get breakfast or something?"
I questioned as I hurried out the door with him and down a flight of stairs, which he clearly had a difficult experience with.
He didn't answer my question and just hurried out of the club where Inej and Jesper stood with an unknown man.

"Where's our ride?" Kaz asked as he planted himself in front of them with me standing behind.

"Just around the corner boss," Jesper spoke with a full mouth from biting into a honey-flavoured scone.
Kaz glared at him and the man next to Jesper as he tilted his head to the right and started to walk in that direction.
I somehow ended up next to Jesper behind everyone else as we followed Kaz around the corner.

"Who is that man?" I questioned quietly.

"The conductor, he'll get us all through the fold." Answered Jesper with a full mouth again.
"This one's for you." He added as he handed me a small honey-flavoured scone like his.

"Thanks," I mumbled with a full mouth.

"I didn't hire you simply to get us across the Fold." Kaz addressed the conductor for the first time since the day started three hours ago.
I turned my gaze away from the window I sat against and watched Kaz talk beside me.
"You're with us because you smuggle Grisha out of the Little Palace, and that's the location of our target." Exclaimed Kaz as I glared over at the conductor.

It had been him all this time, the disappearances of Grisha's was his doing,
Kirigan will be pleased to know this,

I thought to myself as I stared blankly in front
of me while Kaz watching me carefully from the corner of his eye.

"Sun summoner," Inej added.

"Alleged."Kaz corrected as they glared at each other.

"They wouldn't keep a fraud in the most secure location in all of Ravka," I exclaimed as everyone turned their attention to me.
The conductor who sat in front of me smirked when we made eye contact as Kaz glared at him.

"You said you have a contact who can get us inside?" Kaz questioned.
"A hearteender." He added and I turned my head to look at him.

"Hmm-hmm." Hummed the conductor.

"How do I know we can trust her?" Kaz questioned as I smirked discreetly.

"Nina grew up there." The conductor confirmed and my eyes grew wide.

Nina? How is Nina in Novokribirsk?
How did she cross the fold?
I didn't think I'd ever see her again, especially not under these circumstances and especially not on the other side of the fold.

"Most Grisha grew up in the little Palace."
Kaz interrupted my thoughts.
"Very few would betray their general, and fewer still would help foreigners kidnap their most prized possessions." He added as he looked down at me from the corner of his eye.
