(Tommy's POV)

I sat at my desk and began to write my diary entry for my first day out of prison.

Dear diary,
My first day out of prison didn't go how I expected. Tubbo didn't believe I was really me. And Quackity actually got angry at me...
I know it must be hard for them, but it's been hard for me too.
Tubbo has also made a new friend. His name is Ranboo. He seems alright I suppose.
It'll take me a while to adjust to not having my best friend in the same way anymore though.

I closed my diary and got into bed. I tossed and turned a lot throughout the night. I couldn't stop thinking about the look on Dream's face right before he- never mind.

— The next day —

As I opened my eyes, I could see my bedroom door was slightly more opened than how I left it. I sat up, rubbed my eyes and fixed my hair before I saw someone in my room.

"WHAT THE FUCK." I shouted as I quite literally jumped off the bed. There was a person just standing across from me in my room, staring out of the window, facing away from me. They quickly spun around when they heard me.

"Calm down, mate. It's me." I heard a familiar voice say.

"Phil?" I said.

"Are you okay? I heard you went through a lot in the prison. We thought you died." He asked, sounding genuinely concerned.

"I didn't think you cared."

"Why would you think that? Of course I care, Tommy. You think I'd just let another one of my sons die?"

I looked away, I hate talking about death, even thinking about it makes me cringe.

"Can you not say that please."

"What?"

"Don't talk about death."

"Okay, but can I ask you how you're still alive when we all thought you were- you know."

"I-" I paused. Should I tell Phil about the revive book Dream told me about?
"I don't know." I blurted out. I can't tell him yet.

"Well I'm glad you're back, Tom. If you need anything you know where I am." He smiled and left, leaving an apple on my desk and a little note that said 'welcome home Tom'.

I decided today I'd go see Tubbo for a bit. We hadn't had a chance to catch up on everything yet, maybe now he was a bit less in shock that I'm alive we can have a conversation.
