Law's POV
The ambulance got to the hospital in a fast pace, the back doors opened up as some nurses and doctors brought [Y/N] out on the stretcher. She was still out of it when they rolled her into the hospital with me behind them; I got a text that her friends arrived here hell even Nami texted me saying her, Vivi and Robin were here too.
"I'll keep you updated the whole time, you should tell the other's she'll be just fine" Makino said to me as she gave me a warm smile.
I didn't want to leave [Y/N]'s side when I looked at her on the bed, as nurses and doctors went around doing orders as they patched her up from being tortured.
"I promise she's in good hands" Makino said again giving me some form of ease.
"Okay...." Was all I could say.
I turned around heading to the doors to the waiting rooms but I couldn't stop worrying about her as I looked over my shoulders seeing her still there it made my heart ache knowing I couldn't do anything to help her.
I walked down the halls letting my mind go blank as I walked through the hall passing doctors in the halls and nurses working their shifts. I just wanted to be by [Y/N]'s side until she woke up.
The sounds of a group in the waiting room brought me out of my thoughts making me look up seeing her friends there.
"Is [Y/N] okay?" Nami asked me first when she saw me.
"She'll be fine, they're treating her now...." I answered back.
"How long until we can see her?" Luffy asked with worry written all over his face.
"I honestly don't know, they might being working on her for an hour or two...." I said as I pinched the bridge of my nose closing my eyes.
They all shook their heads in understanding still worried though. Time seem to go extra slow this night as we waited to for the doctor to come out and tell us about [Y/n] but hours went by which felt like torture for myself not knowing what was happening.
It was maybe now midnight seeing the hospital almost a complete abandoned building, we were all still here half of us asleep as others still stayed awake. That's when footsteps echoing through the halls woke me up from my restless sleep, seeing it was Makino I stood up when she stopped in front of us.
"She's doing just fine now, you can go see her now" she said to me with a tired smile.
"Thanks..." I said to her.
"When can we see her?" Vivi's voice asked s=wondering when everyone else could go.
"In the morning, right now you guys need to go home and sleep" she spoke to the others as I just began walking to her room where she was sleeping in.
I stood in front of the door for a moment wondering what I would say or do seeing her lying down sleeping, seeing her injured it tugged my heart roughly knowing I wasn't fast enough to save her from this. I sighed deeply as I opened the door gently and closing it behind me so I didn't wake her up.
Seeing her skin a bit paler was different with the light, her [H/L] [H/C] hair was cleaned from the blood and sweat. She slept like she was dead and that when I bit my lip from the thought of that as I sat next to her in a chair; taking her hand in mine running my thump gently over the top of her hand. I never looked away from her not even once and that's when everything just hit me at once.
It was finally over, everything was done. Doflomingo was now being sent to jail for a life time; Cora was avenged and [Y/N] and myself were finally free to be together without having to look over our shoulders every second of the day or night. I brought her hand that I held up to my lips placing a soft lingering kiss there feeling my own body shake knowing that things could have been worse and that I might not have had enough time to save her and that I would never see her smile or hear her laugh everything about the past few days just came crashing down in the room.
In my thoughts the feeling of her tightening her grip on my hand brought me out and look up at her seeing her [E/C] tired eyes looking at me as she smiled warmly at me.
"Hey babe, you feeling okay?" I asked in a whisper.
"Its not to bad but I guess that's the pain pills" she joked a little bit which made me smile.
"I'm glad you're safe" I said to her never looking away from her eyes.
"I knew you would come for me, but you know the best part?" she spoke until she asked me that question.
"And what would that be?" I asked with a small chuckle.
"It's finally over, we both got what we wanted" she said with her smile growing slowly.
I smiled and chuckled as I gave her hand another kiss which made her giggle a little bit when I looked at her again.
"Yea its over...." I said to her as I stood up from the chair and gently leaned down and placed a soft kiss to her lips having her kiss me back enjoying this moment we both were waiting for.
