I passed back and forth in my living room waiting for Tashigi and Smoker to arrive at my apartment, many thoughts ran through my mind as I walked back and forth several times. That was until a knock came from the front door; I rushed over to answer it. Opening it I saw Yashigi and Smoker there.
"I'm glad you guys are here" I said as I let them inside closing the door behind them.
"Is something wrong?" Smoker asked as he looked at me crossing his arms.
"More than wrong, I found out who murdered my father" I said as they followed me through the apartment.
"What? Since when?" Tashigi asked me as we made our way to the living room.
"Read this" I handed the letter Cora gave me.
Smoker took at and started reading it as Tashigi glanced at it herself as well until they both had a shocked look on their face's when they looked over at me, I pointed to the pictures on the coffee table having Tashigi look through them.
"I'm surprised I don't see you" Tashigi asked as she looked through the pictures.
"If [Y/N] was with him, he wouldn't hesitate to send the money guess he knew something with wrong with your step-mother" Smoker said as he crossed his arms once more.
"Makes me glad I always snuck out the back door when I wanted to leave" I said when I sat in one of the chairs.
"With this information we can take down Doflomingo!" Tashigi beamed as she thought this was enough to get him behind bars.
"Its not" Smoker said bluntly as he sat on the sofa.
I knew it wouldn't but knowing who killed my father was getting me one step closer to his justice; and I couldn't wait to put my step-mother in her place once and for all behind bars or six feet under I didn't care.
"So what do we need?" I asked when crossed my legs.
"We need to place him at the scene, we'll keep the letter since that can be burned if given to the wrong person; we also need to get your step-mother to say that this was a set up and ended in murder since she had something to do with it" Smoker explained as he took a puff of smoke in and the out.
"Where is my step-mother?" I asked narrowing my eyes.
"She's still acting like nothing has changed, like she is on a high horse more than normal" Tashigi answered me as she also sat down.
I could only shake my head and chuckle, she must think that I'm still working for Doflomingo and has nothing to worry about which is so funny.
"I want to handle my step-mother on my own, I think I know how to get information" I said as I glanced out the window.
"Since when can you do that?" Smoker asked me in a serious manner as he raised a brow for a moment.
"I work under Shanks remember, he's taught me a thing or two" I said as I smirked a little bit.
"But what if they find out the information isn't from the police?" Tashigi asked worried it wouldn't work.
"I'll handle that part, I have plenty of friends to help we just have to keep this away from Vero's ears I have a feeling he might be working for Doflomingo to keep him under the police radar" Smoker answered fast for the question.
When Smoker knows someone isn't on his side and working for someone else its his way of betrayal and he is always right with who to trust and who not to trust at all.
"Then it is settled, I'll talk to some of my friends for some help and give you the information" I said to him knowing that I was going to be able to do this my own way.
"Just don't do something stupid" was all Smoker said to me to warn me since he knew how I get sometimes.
Once we finished speaking about plans, they left to go back to the station; I was getting ready for bed as I slipped on my [F/C] nightgown as I brushed my hair before sitting on my bed. I couldn't help but smile and chuckle knowing that things were going to be fine now and I was going to get justice for my father.
The next morning I gathered my friends inside Shanks club since he was there with his wife Makino, we were all sitting around the bar talking about what was going on.
"You seriously want to go to the club?" Zoro asked when I told them my plans.
"Yes" I said like it was normal.
"Before you do anything foolish, you need to take some people with you" Shanks said when he pointed a finger at me.
"Oh! Oh! I want to go!" Luffy said raising his hand in excitement.
"Yeah no" I said knowing that he has no idea what kind of club this is.
He pouted a little bit when he crossed his arms and legs as he mumbled something under his breath, but I just smiled softly and patted his head which made him smile again.
"Then who is going with you?" Maniko asked me as she cleaned cups.
"I was thinking Ace, Zoro and Sanji" I said as I looked at the boys.
"Why us?" Ace asked as he tilted his hat back up a bit.
"Because I know you guys can handle yourselves and two you guys are strong" I said as I smiled at them.
"I'll do anything for you [Y/N] swan!" Sanji said as he had hearts in his eyes kneeling on one knee in front of me.
I only smiled and giggled at his weirdness like always, Zoro rolled his eyes but agreed to help me get into the club. Ace also agreed he just has to make sure not to fall asleep during this which I had a feeling that he wouldn't he only falls asleep if there isn't any danger around so he'll be fine.
"When does this happen?" Zoro asked as he leaned back in the chair.
"Tonight" was all I said to them for them to glanced at each other for a moment and nod their heads in agreement which made me smile at them in thanks.
