"The moment you've all been waiting for has come. I have to say, I know that all of you could've tried harder, studied longer and therefore gotten better results." Mrs. Johnson was supportive and not at all dramatic as she was about to give us our tests back.

I was nervous because I was about to get my first F that could ruin my future. I tried focusing on my date with Will that was happening later that day. It had to be perfect. I even made plans with Monica and Alex to go shopping after school.

Alex Evans. She's another good friend of mine. She's tall, has mid-long, dark brown, messy hair and blue eyes. She's kind of the opposite me because she hates wearing dresses and heels so she almost never does. Her style is special and funky in a way. She likes to dress herself in different colors. I just love her personality because she is very funny, relaxed and never cares about what other people think of her. I think that's the main reason why so many people like her. She's always positive and makes you laugh. She's a free spirit.

"Ashley Mayer!" Mrs. Johnson called my name and I went up to her to take my test. I sat back down. "So this is it. Let's see..." I closed my eyes and took a deep breath because honestly I didn't want to see it. But then on the other hand, I wanted to get it over with so I forced myself and opened my eyes.

I turned around to M and Alex. "D. I got a D!" I wasn't happy about the D because it wasn't my usual grade but at least I didn't fail. I knew I'd still have to work hard to fix it but I didn't really have much of a choice. I just hoped Mrs. Johnson was going to let me.

"I got a B." Monica said. Then, next to her Alex said excited: "Omg, omg, omg, guess what?"

We were both surprised by her reaction and waited for her answer.

"I got a D too yaay!" she was honestly happy. And it wasn't because of the grade but that's how she always was. Her grades were ordinary. She usually got Cs and Bs but Physics wasn't exactly her subject, but who's to blame her, it definitely wasn't mine as well.

Monica and me laughed. The school bell rang and just like that she shifted off with her boyfriend Liam. It was always like that. She came and left just like that – all of the sudden.

After school we went to town and walked around different shops. We tried some of the clothes we liked and we just had to try a few crazy things we would never buy. It was fun to wear something ridiculous and take silly photos. M bought herself a new handbag and we looked some more at accessories. Honestly, I'm obsessed with jewelry. I love wearing necklaces and bracelets. But this time I just wanted to pick a great outfit that would be appropriate for my date. I wanted to go home as soon as possible so I could get ready, but at the same time I wanted the time to pass by quickly so I could see Will again. Sometimes I'm like that, I just can't decide. Well, usually, okay, okay. I admit I'm indecisive most of the time.

We were just at this cute little shop when I saw the perfect dress. It was so beautiful. It was a peach pink strap-less dress. It had a black belt with silver sparkles on it and the upper part was covered with lace. It was really amazing and I just had to try it on.

I put it on and looked myself in the mirror. I loved the dress but I was not so sure it looked good on me so I asked M and Alex: "What do you guys think?"

"You look amazing. But don't forget you still have to buy something to wear to your date." M reminded me.

"Thanks." M was right and as much as I loved the dress I couldn't buy it because it was way too expensive.
