The two-hour wait was nothing compared to the flight. It took us fourteen hours and a half to get there! The plane ride was way longer than I thought it would be! I was glad that I managed to sleep for six hours because the night before I couldn't fall asleep because of all the excitement. I don't know what I would've done otherwise.
Besides sleeping I practically listened to every single song and playlist that I had on my phone and my mp3 player. I actually got bored of listening to music! And I love music I mean who doesn't right? It always makes me feel better but after hours of flying and waiting you just can't sit still anymore trust me.
So after I slept, listened to music and ate, I pretty much just tossed and turned the whole time. After those horrifying hours we finally arrived to Pullman Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport. It was far the longest trip of my life and it wasn't over yet. Louis and his mum Beatrice picked me up and we had to drive for 45 minutes more to get to their home.
When we FINALLY arrived I was really tired because of the time difference. It was only 9 p.m. their time but at home I figured it was about 4 a.m.
Beatrice made us a late night dinner and we talked. They were both really nice and they friendly welcomed me in their home, which was going to be my home for the next two weeks. After a while Beatrice excused herself to go to sleep.
"I know this feels a little awkward but you really don't have to be shy or nervous." Louis spoke and broke the silence. "I want you to feel like you're home and I'm not just saying it, I really mean it." I was grateful because he was trying to lighten the mood. I smiled because it actually helped me relax a bit more.
Louis Chevalier. He had short hair that was dark brown and his eyes were just as brown. He was taller than me obviously but he was still a little shorter than Will. I had to admit he was good looking but that didn't really matter to me since I had Will.
After we talked for a while longer he noticed I was tired:
"You must be exhausted. Come with me I'll show you your room."
As we stepped into the room I looked around. It was fantastic. The first thing I saw was a double-sized bed with beige sheets and light blue patterns. The room wasn't big but it wasn't small either. The furniture was also beige and a few paintings were hanging on the walls, curtains on the window and a lot of other things. One wall was painted in sky blue color too and it matched with the sheets and decoration. I noticed that every single little thing in the room matched with another. I was surprised because it had something special. I couldn't really explain it but I felt like everything was thought through. I loved it even more because my favorite color had always been blue, what a coincidence.
"Woow! This room is just wow." I said in shock. "I wasn't even expecting to have my own room."
"I'm glad to hear you like it!" Louis smiled. I realized he smiled a lot and I really liked that about him he gave out positive energy.
"Votre maison est si moderne et pourtant confortable en même temps." – Your house is so modern and cosy at the same time. I spoke in French. We mostly spoke in English but I tried my best to learn French. I loved French because it was a really special language and I loved the accent but it was hard to learn because it's so different from English and the writing is complicated.
"Merci." He thanked me. After that he politely said goodnight and promised to show me the rest of the house the next day. He knew I wanted to sleep and it was late so I was glad he left me rest.
