The time was passing by too fast! Our program for the first week was to go sightseeing with the whole class on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Thursday and Friday were optional. That means we could either stay with the families, or go with the rest of the class, spend time with our lovely friends. I have to laugh a little. Since French is an elective not many of my friends go there. So we're mixed up from different grades and we don't exactly get along. The only one I get along with, you could say, okay is Julie. Julie who? Just a girl from French class, if you haven't figured out. You'll find more about her later.
So from Monday till Wednesday we visited BNF. That stands for Bibliothèque nationale de France, which means The National Library of France. We also took a few tours and saw Vincennes. That used to be an old village, small town in the east of Paris and we even went to see a castle there. The castle's name is Château de Vincennes – The Castle of Vincennes.
I was with Louis the whole time, well I had to be. But I have to admit he was really fun to be around and he introduced me to his friends. Honestly, I rather hung out with him than my schoolmates. So no matter how boring the "History" of Paris was for me, I was still having quite a good time.
We decided not to go with others so, on Thursday we went alone with Julie and . She was the girl Julie was staying with. is actually Amy in English and did you know that means "loved"? You didn't huh? Well I didn't either...
We went to go see different parks. There were us three girls and Louis. It was so fun! He was actually the one that made everything fun. Louis' pretty good with the company of girls. Anyway, we went to: Parc Floral de Paris, The Bois de Vincennes (Paris' Lungs) and Parc André Citroën. All of them were very special in their own way. They were all in different shapes, had different flowers, trees and so on. Everything was special and I liked to see how France is totally different than US.
The park that Louis and I both loved the most was Parc André Citroën. It was in shape of heart and it was just magnificent. Uh, not that the heart really meant anything anyway...
Speaking about hearts... Six days had gone by and Will and I still hadn't spoken. I couldn't speak with M either cause her phone died. You're probably wondering how I knew that. To tell you, it wasn't from Will. She sent me a text from her sister's phone. Like I said I hadn't spoken with Will at all! I had this weird feeling and had no idea what was going on with him. After six days he didn't even sent me a text saying he missed me. It looked like he wasn't missing me at all... For some reason I didn't worry about him. Maybe he had a good reason and I didn't want to jump to conclusions and I was busy with the exchange.
Friday. Friday was the day when he finally thought of me. Let's me start from the beginning when I woke up and saw Louis' face. He woke me up in the morning. At first I saw his smile and his eyes and I thought he had really grown close to me. He was a great friend. I didn't know how to react because it was a little weird and I was a mess. So still sleepy, I had to prepare myself. Mornings were never my best friends and they still aren't, trust me. But after this amazing few days I realized there was nothing awkward between him and me and that it was only me being a little uncomfortable.
He always wanted to surprise me so I had to stay curious about where we were going. It always turned out to be just fine. I was dying of curiosity but it made me feel great at the same time, because there was always a surprise waiting for me.
Louis woke me friendly and then started his normal jokes that always made me smile.
After I got ready we took a bus.
"You were acting so funny yesterday." Louis broke meaway from my thoughts. "What? No I wasn't... Why would you say that?" Ilaughed. Before he said anything he took his phone out of hispocket and we looked at the photos. There was one of me dancing, posing withflowers and singing in front of everyone. I guess I relaxed around him a littletoo much. I really embarrassed myself and I didn't even know when he tookthose. "Omg, I can't believe I actually showed you my crazyside." I said and I felt I was blushing a little. "I like it. It makes you more interesting..." We bothsmiled. "I like this one you look great." He said looking at a photo of me juststanding and holding a red rose. I liked the photo too because the sun wasshining, I was smiling and I seemed happy. "Thanks." I said instead of protesting becauseusually I don't like photos of me. They're always terrible. He kept sliding and we watched them on. A photo ofus together came up. We both started laughing because none of us really lookednormal. But you could see that our smiles were real."Wow we actually look gre..." Beep. My phone went offand it stopped Louis from telling me what he wanted. "Just a sec." I said checking my phone. I saw I gota message, a message from Will. I got a weird feeling and whenI read it, it definitely wasn't what I expected:Ashley, I have to tell you, that this weeka lot has happened and changed. Our relationship just began and now that you'regone we haven't even spoken since last week. I really don't want to hurt you.I'm so sorry... at least we didn't have anything serious.
