・・・☆・ Sixty Eight・・・☆・

Stood in the kitchen on the second Friday of May was none other than Yingyue nursing her tea and waiting on her husband to appear. She had put extra effort into her outfit today as she was sure the rest of her friends were doing the same. For this was no ordinary day of university for the group of senior students.

In fact it was their last day of university ever, the group of five friends had their final classes and then they would be finished. Afterwards they would just have to wait until September for their graduation. That was only four months but it felt like forever away.

But first she had to actually make it to school that morning. And with the way Ximen looked when he came down the stairs that morning, that might become a problem. He had gone all out for the last day. Dressing in a cream suit with a white shirt underneath. She could physically fell her jaw drop in awe and her eyes widen at the sight.

"Like what you see?" His voice broke her out of the stare she had set upon him. And for a second she forgot how to speak. Instead much like a fan of a famous singer she let out a squeak. And his response was to do what he does best and tease his wife by coming closer to her. At present he had three of his shirt buttons undone and the way he was looking at her. If she wasn't already pregnant.

"You are dangerous." Were her choice of words regarding his previous question that she could piece together once regaining the ability to form a sentence again.

"Dangerous huh?"

"Very dangerous. Who allowed you to be this attractive?"

"I'm still always trying to prove to be worth of being by your side." By these words the two were near enough that Yingyue could reach out to sort out his collar. Considering just how nice he had dressed she assumed that he would have already fixed his collar, but alas as he finished buttoning up his shirt he ignored the collar. Probably because he knew she wouldn't hesitate to reach out and fix it on his behalf.

"You're bluffing." Yingyue replied as she went to take a step back. But she was blocked by a pair of arms that dragged her closer.

"I'm not done admiring." Ximen grumbled out as he held onto her. Yingyue hit him gently on the shoulder.

"You can't admire me from this distance, we're too close for you to see me." She attempted to rationalise but was met with a sound of distaste in response.

"I can too. I can admire you from any distance." His sentence was followed by Ximen resting his head on yingyue's shoulder. "You smell really good."

Just an hour later they were sat in class for the very last time. And Yingyue didn't want to say she was an emotional person but she was definitely tearing up at the prospect that this was their final lecture ever at university. Perhaps she could blame it on being pregnant, totally could, couldn't she. She was 24 weeks pregnant now, six months along that would mess with her emotions surely. Yeah thats what it was. For the first and last time she had managed to combine both the set of girls she had met in first year that she only talked to during lectures and her main friendship group together.

As the mediator she obviously sat in the middle of the two groups as a 'buffer' but used this excuse as a way to her husband. For his support obviously. Totally, the only reason why. Not that she had seen the looks he had been getting all day from other people around the school and especially the people in their lecture class. Not at all. She did not feel any jealousy at the current moment in time.

"I'm so bored how much longer do we have to sit here for?" Meizuo's voice echoed across the row of seats he wasn't even attempting to whisper.

"This is our last lecture, but I mean cause a scene if you want." Si replied without hesitation the dare obvious in his voice.

"You're on." Meizuo replied before he disappeared from his seat. Yingyue had no idea what his idea was going to be but he had managed to successfully sneak about without being caught. And when there was a gentle thud of the lecture hall doors at the top of the room shutting she knew he had made it out without being caught by the lecturer.

Nothing of much happened for a few minutes after he was gone. Perhaps he would come in through the bottom doors and make a grand entrance to throw the professor off course and disrupt their lesson. Maybe he would turn the power off somehow to disrupt the flow. Meizuo could do anything when he put his mind to it. Especially when he had been egged on by his friends. Yingyue should have known he would have done something to interrupt more than just their final lecture. It was obvious that he would want the other classes to get a break from their lessons too. Therefore, when the fire alarm started to ring out throughout the room. Yingyue should have known from the start it was Meizuo.

Her suspicion though was only formed when their class had been evacuated. Considering Meizuo hadn't made the effort to join them in their line until the very last moment was a bit strange. But it was made worst when he had seemingly changed clothes for no reason and his previously rolled down sleeves were now covering down to his fingers.

"You pulled the fire alarm?" She hissed as soon as the man made eye contact. Her voice was low as to not draw the attention of the staff but still get her point of disapproval over.

"I was told to make a scene."

"If you get caught they could do anything we're still technically students." Her mini lecture had begun and she saw the boy switch off from what she was saying. Almost as if he had no care for what she was going to tell him. Of course he didn't really care. He would be fine without his degree, he didn't really need it. So instead to save her breath Yingyue stopped the mini lecture before she had really said anything. There was no point right now she could have a proper go at him later when there wasn't a chance they were going to be overheard by the teachers.

Instead the final 15 minutes of their lecture was spent stood outside the university on the green awaiting the fire brigade to come and admit that the alarms went off as a prank pulled by a student. And thus a new tradition would be formed. The fire alarm would go on to be pulled on the final day of the senior students for years to come, not that they would know this.

Instead the friendship group headed towards the cafeteria for their final meal at the school. The somber mood hung over the group as they attempted to pretend that this would mean nothing to them. That they were not all individually affected by the idea that from this day onwards they would no longer be attending university. That this was their last day in school together. After over 10 years of attending school together this was the last time they would be sat in a school building together.

Yingyue supposed deep down the boys knew this was their last time in the cafeteria. Especially, considering no expenses had been spared and there was at least one of every dish available on the table. It looked more like an all you can eat buffet than a university dining room. She slowly loaded up her own plate of different items from the table as small talk was passed between the group they had nothing really important to talk about. It wasn't like they weren't ever going to see each other again. They had been friends for so long they weren't escaping each other easily. Not like Si would let any of them randomly disappear anyways.

And then just like that, their final day at university was over. There was no need for them to step on the university grounds other than their graduation day in 4 months. There was no tears, but plenty of photos were taken as a group all around the school. From the iconic steps to the bridge room to any random classroom they could sneak their way into. The second to last page in their university photo book was officially completed.

"Goodbye MingDe University."
