It was another day in class where Yingyue had chose to sit with her small group of female friends and away from Ximen. For the first time probably ever he didn't feel the urge to pine over her from where he sat, and he could clearly see her just two rows in front. He didn't feel this urge because of just how secure he felt in their relationship. After all she was now his wife and carrying his child. Rather he felt comfortable in bidding her goodbye for the hour and a half and joining the rest of his friends.
Yet he really wished he hadn't. For just sat over at the next seat to him was none other than Si. And Si looked really strange as he sat there resting his head on his hand and staring into the distance like he was in a catatonic dream state. He wasn't even sure the other man was even aware he was in the room he was so involved in his own fantasy.
Then it hit Ximen, was this what he looked like every time he pined over his wife. Oh god if this was then god have mercy on him, he was just a poor man simping. But if this was truly what he looked like why didn't his friends push him into acting sooner. He really must have looked desperate.
"What's wrong with him? Don't tell me I look like this whenever I'm thinking about Yeye." He questioned to Lei who was sat directly behind Si and could see the man's behaviour clearly.
"No idea." Lei replied and Ximen wasn't sure if the man had ignored the other question in order to save his feelings. "The one behind you is being weird too." Lei followed up and Ximen had to turn around to check for himself. True to his word Meizuo sat on the row behind and was smiling like a mad man at his phone. Did Ximen do this himself too? Oh no. He moved to try and take a look at the other man's phone just to see exactly what was going on. Before seeing the opportunity and snatching it from his hand. He held onto Meizuo's phone for perhaps 10 seconds at most which was not long enough to get a grasp of what was on the screen but it was enough to give him potential to tease.
"Whats that? Did a woman take weird photos of you and you're being threatened?"
"Not those kinds of photos." Meizuo argued and Ximen's head went straight to the gutter.
"A women sent you photos whilst you're in class. She's bold." He put emphasis on the word 'photos' in order to get the point everyone knew he was making across properly.
"Don't just go hampering into me I think Lei is hiding something too. He looks too innocent." Meizuo tried to bounce the attention off himself after having been caught with just exactly what kind of content he was receiving from the women in his life.
"I'm not hiding shit." Lei argued back and Ximen couldn't take it the way Meizuo was clutching his phone was too interesting and he had to continue to bother him. Therefore the two boys began to wrestle for the phone. Ximen didn't actually want to see what the photos were, he was a taken man. But the chance to embarrass his best friend he couldn't pass up.
The best friends fighting over this phone and causing a disruption was enough to finally snap Si from wherever in dreamland he had currently gotten to.
"Stop it, Hey come on you guys can't you just grow up?" Si's words got their attention. As if he was telling them to grow up. Did he even know who he was? Ximen automatically released his grip on the phone and took to sitting down again interested in the great words of wisdom he was about to receive.
"I'm just saying you should stop fooling around. Having a serious relationship trumps everything else." Si tried to give them the great wisdom of an elder who had experienced something in life none of the others had.
"What did I just hear? Our Si actually said the word 'relationship'" Ximen couldn't help this it was gold nothing but pure blackmail he was getting this morning.
