Guardian Angel [Yan Ximen]

What the engaged couple did not expect was for a loud harsh banging on their bedroom door at about 3:45am that morning. There was not just one bang it was residual and repetitive and rather frantic. It was enough to wake the pair up that was for certain.

"Yan Ximen get your lazy self out of bed, Shancai has been kidnapped." The voice of none other than Daoming Si called though the door and Yingyue wanted to slam her head back into the pillow and ignore it. However, it would appear her fiancé was actually feeling in the mood to get up and investigate what was happening outside. She could only hear muffled sounds as their version of a conversation, maybe as a way of trying to prevent her from waking properly and coming out to see what was going on. But the muffled sounds continued for longer than she expected and it alarmed Yingyue. What if this wasn't one of her friends many pranks. 

Therefore, she pulled herself out of bed and chucked on one of his jumpers over her pyjama top before heading to the door. Rubbing her eyes as she approached the door she could just about make out a fully dressed Si and her fiancé who had a troubled look on his face. 

"What's going on?" She spoke her voice laced with sleep making her words slightly blurred as she tried to piece together the time and her bearings. 

"Hey baby, Ah Si's woken up and Shancai's not been in the room, she's not answered her phone and its been just short of an hour, he's asked if I don't mind helping him go and look for her to see if she's got stuck outside the hotel or something." Ximen explained obviously having woken up significantly more than her as he pulled her into his embrace. He knew she wouldn't respond well to knowing the young girl was technically missing. And he was right as he watched her process the information he told her before becoming emotional at the thought that the young girl was potentially in some sort of danger. She could only pull herself together and try to think positively. The couples only had one key to each room, it was likely shed gone out for a walk and not remembered to take the key, could possibly just be sat in one of the hallways. 

"Do you need me to look with you?" Yingyue questioned wanting to at least be of some use if the girl really had gotten seriously lost. 

"It's okay Ye, Meizuo is just getting dressed and I'm heading to Lei next I'm sure with the four of us we'll find her." Si spoke up a tired smile on his face. It was partially true the four of them could cover most of the local area relatively fast however, he also knew Ximen would kill him if he said yes and something was to happen. 

"Hmm okay then, if you need me you'll just have to give me a call." The pair soon closed the door on their friend and made it back to their bedroom. No words were spoken as Ximen changed from his pyjamas to a random outfit and picked his glasses up from the bedside table. Yingyue trailed behind him as he walked towards the door of their hotel room and started to put his shoes on. 

"Be safe" she handed him the key to their room and went to take a seat at the sofa to wait. It couldn't have been more than half an hour when she heard the key rattle in the lock of the door. And with a shove it opened to show a very annoyed Ximen as he stalked back into the room grumbling something under his breath. She looked at him with a raised eyebrow in question as to what he was doing. 

"We didn't even leave the premises. Got to the front door and what do you know round the corner walks Shancai perfectly intact and not at all worried about having left the room without telling anyone. She's been on the beach this entire time." Ximen's grumbling had turned into whines by this point the young man throwing himself at Yingyue who was still sat on the sofa knocking her over so they were both laid down. 

"Ximen, at least she was found safe and early into your search hmm? Do you want to head back to bed." Yingyue responded her fingers running through his hair as she spoke 

"No, wanna stay like this a little longer."

A little longer had resorted in them both falling asleep on the sofa and not waking back up until around 9am that morning. They had met the others downstairs for something to eat before making their plans for the rest of the day. 

Yingyue could only smile at Chang-xiou that morning as the two girls sat opposite one another at the dining table. The other girl was in a black bikini set covered with a polkadot coverup and looked really pretty in it. The pair had hit it off really well in the last couple of weeks and this holiday presented itself as another opportunity for this to occur. 

"You two are matching again." Chang-xiou commented and this was the moment that Yingyue finally twigged onto that as well. This time it was not intentional, she had just chosen a baby pink playsuit with green palm tree leaves as its pain pattern and had unintentionally matched Ximen who wore his green shorts. 

"It wasn't on purpose this time Chang" She could only laugh at the revelation and continue on as if it hadn't been pointed out to her just then. She would take it in her stride for the rest of the day. The group were discussing their ideas on what they wanted to spend their morning doing. It was a mutually agreed idea to head to the beach and enjoy the sand. The boys were talking about playing volleyball on one of the net sets and despite wanting to maybe challenge the group with her own group of WAGS, wife and girlfriends, she wasn't sure what to do other than that. 

Though they all agreed and walked their way over to the beach. The boys headed on down further than the girls as they saw another group of four by the volleyball net they wanted to challenge. Shancai soon separated herself from the other three girls without much of a word to say where she was headed or anything. This left Yingyue, Chang-xiou and Kiki Lei's lady friend. Yingyue didn't know what to make to the newest member of their little squad and wasn't sure how to even approach her. Yet alone start that awkward phrase of kinda friendship. 

"I don't like her." Was her first words towards Chang-xiou it might have been a fickle thing to have said considering she hadn't really spoken to Kiki, the first time they met she had said like three sentences to the group and then went to swap spit with Lei. 

"You said that about me the first entire trip we went on together. Don't even think you said more than two sentences to me the entire time. Just give her a chance huh? Her being here is the reason our idiots are getting on so well." Came the mature voice of Chang-xiou as she moved her hands towards the group of four boys who were actually seeming to be having a good time joking around whilst playing. 

After a while of talking the group soon met back up around the pool Shancai coming to join them from wherever she had disappeared off too. Yingyue just hoped whatever she was doing wasn't because she was only stringing Ah Si along. She also had to take back what she had thought about Kiki at the beginning, the girl was not a social climber she was just younger than the rest of them and idolised the group slightly and couldn't believe it was real the first time Lei asked her out for drinks. It was cute whatever was going on between them even if she did let it slip that Lei had disappeared to the beach last night and not come back until just before breakfast that morning. 

Then it clicked, the beach both Lei and Shancai were out there in the early hours of the morning. Yingyue could only pray what ideas first came to her mind were not true. Though she didn't get to ponder upon those thoughts for long before she was called over by Ximen. She didn't think much of it until he took one of her hands and began to read something from his phone. 

"Teng Tangjing exchange student in France, expected to wed this year."
