Jason's POV

Jason's first few weeks at school had gone incredibly well. He'd been reunited with Percy and Reyna, he'd made the boys basketball team with Travis, who had gotten much better over the summer, and, most importantly, Jason and Piper were closer than ever.

There was only one glaring problem. Jason knew that Piper only saw him as a friend, which was a thought about as nice as being shoved down stairs made out of jagged stones.

Having Leo as a best friend and Thalia as a sister wasn't much help either, as they would not stop teasing him about it. Percy had also picked up on Jason's feelings, which meant Reyna knew as well, so they were now also constantly teasing him as well.

Other than being constantly teased by his friends about being stuck in the friendzone, Jason's life was very much a good one, and it wasn't like he couldn't tease his friends in return.

Thalia's feelings for Reyna were quite obvious, as were Leo's feelings for Calypso, though those two had an odd relationship anyways.

Jason wasn't quite sure about Percy though. He was never quite sure if Percy was just being nice or if he had feelings for someone.

If Percy did have feelings for someone, it would have to be Annabeth. He hadn't spoken to anyone about his conversation with Annabeth a few days ago, and neither had Annabeth, which meant only the two of them and Reyna knew what happened.

It was weird, knowing that there was some kind of primordial understanding between the two. They had conversations without words and didn't have a single secret between them.

As for Reyna, well Jason had no idea at all. She could hide her feelings so well it was almost scary. Again, the only one who seemed to know how to tease her was Percy, though that was also probably due to the fact he was the only one that dared to tease her.

Jason was so lost in his thoughts, he only realised that his history lesson had passed and it was lunch break when Piper shouted at him to wake up.

He sat back up, looking around and realising the classroom was completely empty, with the exception of Piper, who stood in the door frame, looking concerned.

"You ok Jason?" she asked softly.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I just got a bit lost in my thoughts." her replied.

"Do I want to know what kinda stuff you were thinking about in that stapler eating brain of yours?" she teased him, chuckling as they walked through the hallways together. Jason couldn't help but laugh slightly as well.

"Nothing to graphic Pipes, I'm not you." Jason shot back, earning himself a punch in the shoulder. "I was just wondering who Reyna has a crush on. It's pretty obvious for most of the people in our group, but I can't tell who she has a crush on."

"Is it really that easy?" Piper asked, suddenly sounding slightly scared.

"Well for most, yeah. Travis and Katie, Hazel and Frank, Calypso and Leo, Will and Nico all have feelings for each other. I obviously know who I have a crush on, Thalia has feelings for Reyna." Jason replied.

"What about Percy, Annabeth, me and Reyna?" Piper questioned.

"I'm not sure and like I said I have no idea with Reyna, like none at all." Jason answered.

"Well, do you want to know what I think?" Piper asked him with a smirk.

"Is this you telling me who you have feelings for?" Jason teased, knowing she'd never tell him. "Go ahead, what do you think?"

"I think Percy and Annabeth are starting to get the feels for each other. Percy maybe quicker than Annabeth, but definitely both and definitely slowly." Piper suggested.

"Y'know... I think you're on to something there, McLean." Jason agreed, laughing as they walked into the cafeteria to see their group of friends looking happier than usual.

Perhaps this wasn't just a boring school day.

"What's gotten you guys so happy?" Jason asked as he sat down next to Leo, Piper taking place next to Annabeth and opposite to him.

"Percy and Reyna's mom wants to meet us, so she told them to invite us to a sleepover." Leo explained, looking very happy indeed.

"So what you're saying is, Reyna and Percy didn't want us sleeping over at their house, but their mom told them to invite us?" Piper joked.

"No, more like mom beat us to it." Percy said with a laugh, launching a bit of food in Piper's direction.

It was very odd to Jason, but Percy and Piper had formed some sort of chaotic friendship that consisted mainly of teasing and annoying each other to no end.

"What's your mom like?" Annabeth asked, looking very interested in her food all of a sudden.

"Oh she's amazing." Nico laughed.

Jason nearly died of a heart attack, not noticing that Nico had sat down on the other end of the table, but also because he wasn't really someone who talked much, and hearing him praise someone was even rarer.

"Ok, if that's what Nico thinks, then she's probably the best person ever." Leo joked.

"Shut up, Valdez." Nico shot back. "And before anyone else thinks of making a comment like that, just trust me on this, she is the kindest, most accepting person ever."

"Yeah, no shit, she had to raise Percy of all people. I feel sorry for her." Piper chuckled.

"Nah, Percy's fine at home. He loves mom way too much." Reyna laughed.

"Hey, it's impossible to love your mom too much. Just relax guys, I know we're a lot of people, but me and Reyna live in a shack behind our house anyways, so we'll be staying in there." Percy said.

"I'm only coming if Sally's making blue cookies." Thalia replied.

"Wait, hold up, y'all live in a shack?" Will asked almost instantly after Thalia's remark.

"Are we gonna skip over the blue cookies?" Leo asked with a laugh.

"Hell no we aren't. Sally makes the best cookies. Ever." Thalia stated flatly. Jason envied her a lot for having visited the Jacksons and eating Sally's cookies without him.

"Yeah, but blue cookies?" Will asked. "And what about the whole living in a shack thing?"

"Ok, y'know what? You guys can just find out when you come over, how about that?" Reyna suggested. She and Percy were obviously trying desperately to contain their laughter.

Suddenly, the bell rang, signalling the end of their lunch break. Jason got up and walked towards his math classroom, along with Percy, Reyna, Annabeth, Piper and Thalia.

"Honestly, you two have a really weird life." Annabeth remarked as they headed off to their last lesson of the day.

"I don't think I'd change anything, to be honest." Percy replied.

"Same here. It's a bit weird and wacky, but we chose to live in that shack. We renovated the inside to fit our taste, so from the outside it looks like a scary, old, horror movie shack, but from the inside it looks like a comfy, chill room." Reyna said.

"Well I can't wait to see that." Piper chuckled as they entered the classroom.
