TW: Mention of blood, violence
General TW for violence, blood and such in the next few chapters. It's boutta get serious here.Annabeth's POV
Annabeth woke up bright and early at 1 in the afternoon, which, it being a Saturday, was absolutely fine with her.
She looked across her room and wondered why there was a small packed bag, when she realised that she was going to Percy's house for the massive sleepover they had planned.
It seemed to be a good idea when they suggested it, but Annabeth wasn't so sure anymore. In the past few days she'd noticed herself become ever so slightly nervous around Percy, which annoyed her immensely.
Annabeth did have to admit that she hadn't read Percy correctly the first time she saw him. She thought she couldn't trust him, especially after that run-in they'd had with Luke, but when Thalia introduced the two new students, Percy had pulled her aside and spoken to her. Annabeth wasn't sure she'd ever heard someone speak with so much honesty to her before.
Flashback—————
"Look," Percy said. "I know you and Luke are still friends."
"How do you know that?" Annabeth interrupted, putting her guard up instantly.
"It's quite obvious that you don't trust me or Reyna, so I just had to work out the reason. First, I thought it was just the fact the we were new here and we weren't exactly kind to anyone, but when we had our... let's call it a run in with Luke, I noticed that you were the only one in your group who was looking at us like we'd just killed a puppy." Percy replied.
Oh great, he has jokes. Annabeth thought, though she did have to supress a chuckle
"Ok, fair enough, but what does that have to do anything?" Annabeth asked.
"I just wanted to let you know that I don't want the fact that you still believe there is some good in him come between us becoming friends." Percy explained. "I know there's no way I'll change your mind about him, but he's done things to me and Reyna that can never be forgiven."
"Wh- why do you want me to know that? And what did he do?" Annabeth questioned him further, trying desperately not to show how shocked she was with his honesty.
"Like I said, I just wanted to warn you, I won't get into an argument with you if he's a good person or not, because there's just no point." Percy sighed. "As for your other question, I don't really want to talk about it for two reasons. Firstly, what he did was horrific and inexcusable, and most importantly, the cause for me to cover my arms in makeup. Secondly, I can't fully prove what he did. All the evidence is kinda circumstantial."
Annabeth again tried to hide her shock. She looked into his eyes and had to gulp, forgetting what she was thinking about, the sea green colour stunning her.
Another thing that confused her was how genuine he was. She'd accepted the fact he was an honest person, but he truly believed what he had told her, but she couldn't believe that Luke would do anything bad enough to cause someone to hurt themselves.
End Flashback—————
Annabeth sighed, walking through the house, which was thankfully empty, as her stepbrothers and stepmother were on some weekend trip and her dad was out on another one of his many business trips, and made herself some breakfast.
She sent Piper a text, asking her when she'd pick her up. Piper quickly replied, saying she'd be there in 15 minutes, along with Thalia, Jason and Leo.
