RING! RING! RING!

I looked at the caller Id, it was Zara.

"Hello,"

"Hey girl what's up?"

"I was sleeping," I muttered looking at the clock, ten a.m.

"You were supposed to call me over when you were finished setting up your dorm you loser,"

"Shoot," I bit my tongue, "Come over now."

"Nah, I'm not interested, it was just a formality. Anyway, get ready I'm coming to pick you up in an hour, we're going out,"

Then she cut the phone. I rushed out of bed and took a shower. Then I change into my floral off-shoulder jumpsuit and applied a thick layer of black eyeliner and mascara and headed downstairs.

Two or three guys turned around and stared at me then whispered 'hottie' and one of them even wolf-whistled. I tugged my straps up and ran away from there before they could say anything else.

After waiting at the gate for a few minutes, a black Tesla pulled over and honked. I raised my head and saw Zara sitting inside. I opened the door and sat down next to her.

"Where are we going?" I asked her.

"To the carnival,"

"Woo hoo!" I shouted. I loved carnivals.

After driving for an hour, we pulled up in an empty parking lot. You could hear the loud music from a mile away.

Zara parked the car and we got out.

"How's Zack doing?" I asked her.

"Oh, he's doing great. I think he likes you, by the way, he keeps saying you're really hot, but you never know he's a hopeless flirt with everyone."

I blushed

"You don't have a boyfriend, do you? She asks. I shake my head.

"I'm single too,"

We walked over to the entrance and bought our tickets. Zara waved aside my wallet, "It's my treat," she said.

The carnival was themed yellow and white.

After an hour, three Ferris wheels, one pirate ship, and two merry-go-rounds later we stopped for lunch. Zara ordered pizza and I had donuts.

Then we decided to go on the roller coaster. We waited in line for a few minutes and then finally sat down and buckled our seat belts.

"3, 2, 1" and the coaster was off. I shouted my head off. It went left and right and up and down. Zara kept giggling.

However, when I got off, my head was feeling unusually heavy. Then the pounding began and everything went black as I fell down.

"Heather!" Zara shouted and I felt someone pick me up and carry me to a room and lay me down in the cool air conditioning.

My head was pounding hard and it felt like someone had drilled straight into my head.

"What's wrong?" she asked.

"I had a concussion," I muttered softly.

"Let's leave," she said shakily.

"Call Austin," I whispered, "He has my medicine.

She opened my phone and dialled a number. Then I heard Austin's voice as he spoke to Zara. I heard him say he was coming.

He was there in five minutes, "Luckily I was nearby," he said and tilted my head up. Then he opened my mouth and slipped in the medicine, and I swallowed.

He smiled at Zara. "I'll take her from here," she nodded and waved good bye to me. Austin sat down next to me.

"You're such an idiot," he said. "You scared the hell out of me, why did you have to go on that stupid roller coaster," he glared at me.

"Let's go," I said.

"I'll carry you," he said.

I didn't want him touching me again, not when my head was already spinning.

But I didn't have an option. So, I tried to distract myself as he placed his hand under my back and legs and carried me to his car and back to my dorm.

I tried not to think about the fact that I owed him again.
