As I lay on my bed I wonder why every time me and Austin talk, it ends up in a fight. Why do I feel so nervous around him and why do I blush at his compliments? Is there something between us that we both fail to understand?

I brush these thoughts out of my head and turn around and dose off.

When I wake up in the morning, I realize I'm fifteen minutes late for psychology and that Austin didn't come to wake me up. I hurriedly dress up and wear my blue tank top and jeans, then rush downstairs.

I reach the class huffing and panting.

"Miss Brown why are you late?" the teacher asks.

"I'm really sorry I didn't wake up,"

"That is evident," she sneers gesturing to my messy hair and smudged eyeliner. Ava laughs and my face flushed.

"Why didn't you wake up on time?" she asks me.

"Usually my friend wakes me up bu-"

"Oh, little miss princess Heather needs her own personal maid to wake her up,"

I turn red and a cold feeling envelopes me. What is this teacher's problem?

"At least I'm not a poor ass broke bitch!" I shout and run out of the room as everyone laughs at me.

Humiliated I rush out tears breaking out of my eyes. Further up the hallway, I see Austin standing leaning against the wall with a red-headed freshman pinned against the wall by him as he leans in and kisses her. The girl's expression is almost a comical twist between surprise and confusion as she kisses him back.

"WHAM!" The girl jumps back and scurries off as my bag hits Austin on his head.

"What the fuck Brown? I thought we agreed not to interfere in each other's love life no matter how desirous you feel towards me,"

"You complete ass, go kiss anyone you want I don't give a shit, I hit you because you didn't wake me up today,"

"Big deal," he smirks, "You could have set an alarm."

"Idiot," I mutter and go up the stairs as Austin follows me.

"Where are you going?" he asks me. I ignore him.

"Brown? Heather?"

"Shut up you ass," I tell him.

"Why are you so mean cub? If you're jealous of the girl I was kissing, I can give you a kiss too," he says.

I turn around and shove him lightly, "Eww as if anyone would ever want to kiss you. I bet you paid that girl a million dollars, otherwise, she never would have given your ugly face a second glance."

"Excuse me, she was the one who wanted to hook up not the other way around and I'm not ugly," he says.

"Ok pretty boy," I say and continue walking up.

"What happened? You look sad," he says.

"My bitch of a psychology teacher embarrassed me in front of the whole class because I was late," I mutter.

"And what did you say?" he asks.

"Nothing," I lie

"Yeah right. Spit it out what did you say?"

"I called her a poor ass and a broke bitch,"

Austin flashes me a smile, "So typical you,"

"What should I do now?" I ask him.
