Lexi burst into my dorm, "You're invited to my party it's mine and Chris's birthday tomorrow and we're throwing a small party for our close friends. It's in the assembly hall, ground floor. We took permission from Donald Duck, and he allowed, so you have to come, no excuses. Also bring a date with you. Bye bye luv see you soon," and she ran out as her phone rang again.

I took deep breath to process what she was saying. I really didn't want to any attend social events, but Lexi and Chris were few of my very little friends anyways and it would be rude not to go, so I called Austin.

"Hey Austin,"

"Heyyyy hot and spicy,"

"Can you stop being a flirty ass for once and listen?"

"Wait, I have to ask you something before that."

"Mhm?"

"Will you be my date for their Chris and Lex's birthday?"

"Uh-" My stomach turned a somersault.

"Chill out. We're still just friends, it's just that I can't arrange a date so soon or even if I can, I'm sure you can't, so it's best that we go together,"

I was going to hang up the phone or shout at him for being mean when I realized that he was right. He was one of the most popular people in college. He could easily get a date, but me? Nope.

"Ok," I sighed.

"Great," he said, "I'll pick you up at nine. Now what were you saying?"

"Nothing," I said and cut the call.

It was seven p.m. I decided to start getting dressed.

After taking a long, hot shower I started getting dressed up. I wore a strapless, short, black dress with matching black heels and thick black smoky eyes make up. I curled my hair with a curling iron and wore big silver hoops.

Olivia, whose enmity for me had cooled down a bit had let me borrow given me her black leather jacket and had sworn to kill me if I did anything to it.

Tap tap.

I opened the door and saw Austin standing there. He was wearing black jeans and a matching leather jacket over a black t-shirt. His hair was messy as always and he was looking very handsome.

"You look really pretty," Austin said and for once he didn't have his stupid smirk on his face.

"Thank you," I smiled and followed him out of the room as Ava glared daggers at me.

"How much do we have to walk," I asked after walking for ten minutes. I never realized the campus was that big

"My feet are killing me," I wailed.

"I'll carry you," Austin said, turning to face me.

"Don't you dare," I told him and strode ahead.

After walking for another ten minutes, we reached a large room with a twelve-foot Mahagony door and polished brass handles.

Austin swung open the door and we walked inside. The hall was elaborately decked out with a purple and blue theme and tables set up with a bouquet of blue and purple orchids on every table. There were about eight nine people only as Chris had told us that he was keeping it small this year.

Lexi and Aaron were standing in front of the canopy while the photographer took their pictures. Chris was making out with a blonde girl.

"That chick is Katrina, Abbey's cousin, I dated her too." Austin told me as I rolled my eyes.
