2. Meeting Annabeth

Tony POV

I am so bored. There's nothing to do right now. Normally I'd go invent something but my supplies aren't getting here until tomorrow. I end up looking through JARVIS's security files. I notice that my newest hire has been marked for extra attention. So I pull up the feed of her living room (everyone knows the living room and kitchen are watched) It appears she has a guest over. They aren't doing anything interesting so I start to read her file. It looks like she ran away when she was younger, but it ended up fine. And the guest is actually her boyfriend who she's living with. He seems nice, but there's something about him that doesn't feel like he's normal. I decide to look him up because he seems more interesting.

Oh my god

He certainly got in a lot of trouble. Blowing up stuff at school, getting kidnapped and fighting the unknown kidnapper with a gun, vanishing again for eight months, and all of that from a simple search. He doesn't seem to be involved with any extra curricular activities and is repeating the year he missed. But it's all classified as misunderstandings and the worst luck in the world of being in the wrong place every single time. But this is too much to be a coincidence.

However, he was seen with a girl that looks a little like Nico, just a little bit before we met him. And considering how well he vanished off the grid I'm pretty sure this Percy guy is our best chance at finding Nico again. I don't know much about their relationship but if the girl was Nico's dead sister then they obviously know each other. Also those random reports I got over the summer about him in the mediterranean were with people Percy and Annabeth have also been seen with before. I know I probably shouldn't be spying on them but considering the fact that they were flagged as possibly having some sort of domestic abuse going on it isn't that suspicious that I poked around a bit. Bsides they might know something about Nico. "JARVIS, call the avengers."

"Right away sir," he says and I start rearranging files so they'll make more sense.

"What is it Tony?" Steve asks, walking in with Bucky.

"Wait until everyone else gets here."

"Is it important?" Bucky asks quietly as he pulls Steve down next to him. Maybe I shouldn't have so many places to sit in here, but they're all going to need to sit down once I tell them.

"I think so, but it's not urgent. However I think you really want to know." five minutes later everyone's gathered. "So don't freak out but I think my new intern knows Nico."

"What?!" everyone shouts.

"Shh. anyways I don't know for sure but her boyfriend has been spotted with someone who I think was Nico's sister and they've been spotted with the same people Nico was spotted with over the summer."

"But not with Nico?"

"No. they vanished at the same time he showed up. Now it's a bit of a thin lead-"

"But it's the best we have," Clint says, cutting me off.

"Who is the intern?" Natasha asks, clearly already calculating the best possible response to the situation.

"Annabeth Chase, incredibly intelligent, has a full ride scholarship studying architecture and design. Her boyfriend is Percy Jackson, and he has a rather impressive record, but everything was explained away and it looks like he just has the worst luck in the world, and yes, worse than Nico's." I say when they all look disbelieving.

"What happened to him?"

"Just...read this," I say and spin the screen so they can all see.

"Alright that might be worse than Nico's," Bruce says after a minute.
