taught to seek the
kindness of guys
and too not fall for
the ones who did not
respect us.
yet every time you yell
at her out of your love
for her you're teaching
her the confusion of
happiness and torture.
it all seems like a good idea
until you're the one finding
her dead because you taught
her to find guys that seemed
exactly like you.
