[Y/n's P.o.V]

Today was an important day. Everyone was gathering to announce the Champions for the Triwizard Tournament. Hermione insisted on standing with me by the door waiting for Cedric. I'm planning to give him a bit of good luck.

I saw Cedric with his friends. I smiled when I caught his eye. He waved widely at me like no one was around. I chuckled at what he did and slowly waved back, then motioned for him to come to where we were standing. He excused himself and quickly walked towards us.

"He's quite the Hufflepuff," Hermione whispered at me. I snorted a bit at what she said.

"I think it's cute," I whispered back. "But don't tell him I told you that!" I quickly whispered back. I regained my posture when he got close.

"Hey," I greeted with a smile. He smiled back and ruffled my hair.

"Hey," He looked over at Hermione and nodded as a sign of greeting.

"I just wanted to uhm.." I paused for a moment.

"To?" He looked at me with a curious look on his face.

"To wish you a... uh... good luck," I smiled awkwardly.

"And?" Cedric said smirking.

I groaned. "And to support you," I sighed, looking at the ground.

We kind of talked before this. It was small, teenie tiny-- Okay, it was kind of a big topic, but it wasn't that bad.

It was before he put his name in the fire. "Cedric, can we talk again for uhm a moment?" I nervously say. I gathered up the courage to tell him what I was seeing about him, or I just got scared at the last minute.

"What's going on?"  He asked. Okay, Y/n, this is it.

I told him everything that I've been seeing. Him being gone. It's been bothering me like crazy and I don't want him to go like that. "That's why you can't join this, Cedric,"

"Look, Y/n. You have nothing to worry about, it was just probably a dream," He said trying to assure me, but I wasn't convinced.

I sighed and tried to reason out with him. "I've been seeing this since I first met you. It haunts me every year. I- I can't lose you like this,"

He just smiled and cupped both my cheeks. "I made a promise to you, right? To never ever leave you. I'm going to keep that promise," He sighed. "I just need your trust and support on this, Y/n,"

"Fine," I finally agreed. I can't stop him and this is the first time he ever asked me to do something important to him. I didn't want to upset him.

He smiled widely. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!" He kissed my head plenty of times. I smiled weakly.

"Promise?" He said, grabbing my hands.

I nodded. "I promise," He smiled and ruffled my hair before he left.

I took a deep breath and tiredly smiled at Hermione. We both walked inside and sat down with the boys.

Durmstrang and Beauxbaton got their Champions already. Beauxbaton was less enthusiastic than I thought they would be. Fleur didn't look too bad, but I could tell they didn't like her. It was now time for The Hogwarts champion.

The Goblet of Fire turned red once more; sparks showered out of it; the tongue of flame shot high into the air, and from its tip, Dumbledore pulled the third piece of parchment. "The Hogwarts champion," he called, "is Cedric Diggory!"

"No!" Ron said, loud enough for me to hear. I glared at him and he gulped. Luckily, only a few of us heard him.

Every single Hufflepuff stood up and cheered for him, clapping proudly as Cedric made his way to follow the other champions. He looked over at me, and I nodded at him. I motioned him to go, he nodded back at me and left.

I took a deep breath and smiled over at Hermione. "I knew he'd get it," I said.

"Oh, really?" She said, looking at me.

I sighed. "Fine. I kind of hoped he wouldn't get picked, but we already talked about it. I can't stop him," I admitted, and she just patted my back sympathetically.

While Dumbledore was giving his speech the goblet of fire sparked, again and there was another long piece of parchment in it. There was a long pause before he revealed who it was. "Harry Potter,"

Hermione and I looked at each other with shocked looks on our faces. Harry sat frozen in his seat. God, no. Harry stood up and looked at the three of us. "I didn't put my name in," Harry said blankly. "You know I didn't,"

I somehow believed him, because we were with him the whole time. It was impossible. He couldn't have done it. He told me he doesn't even want to join.

"Harry Potter!" Dumbledore repeated. Hermione stood up and pushed him gently telling him to go. I looked over at Ron. I got a feeling he's not going to be taking this in well.
