[Cedric's P.o.V]

Y/n's been avoiding me ever since that day she got out of the infirmary. Was she mad at me? I was hoping to go on a date tomorrow at Hogsmeade but she's always busy. I look at her as she walked by with her friends. She didn't look well, but she did her best to smile. I walk up to her. "Y/n, can I talk to you for a moment?" She nodded and excused herself from Hermione and Ron.

"Hey," She greeted.
"Hey," I needed to catch my breath just by looking at her. "How are you? Are you feeling well?" I asked.
"I'm good, great, really really great. Er... You?" I could tell she wasn't from the dark circles under her eyes. She had been crying.
"You're not," I brush away a few strands of her hair in front of her face.
"I am," She insisted. "Maybe you're not the one feeling well,"
"I'm not, you've been avoiding me,"
"I haven't been avoiding you. I was just thinking,"

I look at her confused. Thinking? About what? Is she breaking up with me?

"I was just thinking about what I see every year... about you," She finished.

Oh, me dying part. I sigh and pull her close to a hug. I brush her hair. "I'm scared as well, Y/n. Really scared," I admitted. Scared that if I'm gone, no one will take care of you. I wouldn't know what's going on with you. Who are you with, who's going to love you when I'm gone? "Despite all that, at least, you're here," I said, smiling.

She slowly nodded. "Cedric, if ever... one day you find out something about me. Can you promise me that you won't think less of me? Forget me not,"

"Of course," I answered. I hug her again to assure her. What did she mean? She took a deep breath for a moment and then smiled at me.

"Would you like to come with us to Three broomsticks tomorrow?" She asked.
"I'd love to, bear hugger," I say and ruffle her hair.

[Y/n's P.o.V]

The real reason I've been avoiding Cedric is for our sake, the more I spent time with him, the harder and painful I think it will be to let go. The other reason for me being busy was true, though. Alexander and I have been practising our powers, and a little bit of wandless magic. In case of emergencies and other things that might come.

I also found out something about the black smoke that led me to Alexander. It was a spell that was cast by our Mother. The sacrificial protection. It was set the moment we were born the mark on our arms is the sign of protection from our Mother, it was activated the moment she died. We still didn't know what killed her or who killed her. It was all a mystery. The black smoke is the one that leads us to each other and protects us from any harm. So, in short, the Black Smoke came from our Mother to protect and help us find each other.

"What did the pretty boy say?" Alexander asked beside me.
I shook my head. "Nothing just asked me out on a date tomorrow. Why'd you ask?"
"It's nothing. Just keep your distance for now and lay low," He simply answered.

What? I have to keep my distance still. I sighed frustratedly. "This is killing me, Alex. How much longer do we do this?" I whispered.

"There's a thunderstorm next week, after that we plan. This will be worth it, Y/n. I promise," He said and then left.

Upcoming Chapters will be kind of boring... and stuff but uhm- I do promise that the next book and the ending of this will be better! :> Keep Safe and thank you for supporting this story!
