Chapter 25: Somewhere I Belong

~~~Recap~~~ 

Sasuke smiled and kissed him once more. 

He looked at the time and noticed visiting hours had been over. He gave Naruto one last glance and walked towards the door. He opened the door and the moment he stepped out he heard his named being called.

~~~Present~~~Sasuke POV~~~ 

I step out and hear my name being called. I stopped and turned around slowly. Did I just hear Naruto? I turn around looking at him and I see that he's smiling weakly at me with half opened eyes. I smile wide and run by his side. 

As I get by his side, I press the button that calls for his nurse and doctors and the next thing I knew I was being dragged out of the room. Once I registered what was happening, I started to pull away violently from the doctors to get back to Naruto. I stared at him until I was there with him. I didn'twant to leave. At least not while I had the chance to see him alive and better. I was so happy I was actually crying willingly.

Suddenly I feel myself being prived away from him by strong arms. I look back at who it was only to find Itachi and Shikamaru. I look at Naruto and struggle to get back to him. He smiles and the door shuts in my face. 

Naruto....

I stare at the door in total shock, surprise and any other emotion there is that would describe my feeling right now. After a minute or two, Itachi and Shikamaru let go of me and we walk into the waiting area. 

 I was happy that Naruto had waken up. I was more than happy. I sat in the chair next to Kiba and Deidara and free tears ran down my face. They weren't tears of sadness but tears of joy. I smiled. I even chuckled at times. I was so over joyed.

The doctor came into the waiting area and cleared his throat making us aware of him. I looked up at him. He had a smile plastered on his face and that made me want to smile. I knew there was gonna be some good news coming from him. 

"I have some good news." he said looking at his clipboard "Mr. Uzumaki has woken up and seems to be doing alright. His injuries have not healed completely but with rest and the right nutrition, he will be up and running again in no time." 

"We have taken the breathing instruments off of him so he can breathe properly and comfortably. I have also given him a Morphine for pain. He will probably be hungry so I will send for him something that would easily go down without struggle."

The doctor explains a lot of stuff to us but I don't pay anymore attention. I was just eager to see him now. I didn't care about everything else. I just wanted to see my blonde.

"Can we see him?" I blurted out

"Oh yes you may. All of you can see him now." He says with a smile

I stand up and speed walk to his room. Everyone else followed behind. I reached the door and place my hand on the door knob. i take a deep breathe and twist it. I slowly open the door then I peek my head inside. 

I see Naruto sitting up in the bed looking down. He looked up and a smile immediately spread on his face. I walk into the room and make my way by his side. I sit on the bed next to him making sure not to touch anything that would hurt him or mess anything up. He smiles wide and I smile just as big. 

 As the rest of the guys make their way into the room, I place my hand on his cheek and gently rub it. I slowly lean in and kiss him deeply. I smile into the kiss as he kisses me back. I pull away and I look into his deep ocean blue eyes that had tears running out of them. I smile and put my forehead against his. We stay like that and I stare into his eyes the whole time.

~~~Naruto POV~~~ 

I was looking down at my body and I saw black and blue bruises everywhere on me. It took me a minute to remember what had happened. As I was staring at the sheets I hear the door open so I look up. I smiled at the sight of Sasuke. He came into the room and the first thing he did was come and sit by me and kiss me. 

I was so happy. I have never been any happier than I was today. I kiss him back as I felt his smile across my lips. He pulled back and I looked into his onyx eyes. I was crying and he smiled. I wasn't sad when I cried either. I cant explain this feeling but I loved it. He put our foreheads together and we stayed like that for a while staring into each others eyes.

I notice other people are in the room too but I didn't pay any attention to them until a certain someones blonde made his dramatic scene. Deidara came up to me and thumped my head. It didn't hurt but I still felt it. I put my hand up to my head and looked at him.

"Hey! What'd you do that for?" 

"Because...." He said with a few tears rolling down his face "You had us worried sick about you... We thought we lost you when we found you.... Naruto you had Sasuke freaking out.."  

Deidara looked at me with a lot of sadness. He really did care about me. All of them did. I couldn't face everyone like this. I was a wreck. I was broken. Literally. 

I looked over at Kiba, my best friend. He was staring at me with a bit of worry and sadness. I was relieved to see him. 

He wasn't hurt. I looked at him with teary eyes. I couldn't stop the flow of my tears. He was my best friend and I risked a lot for him. "Kiba..." I say his name but my voice cracks.

"Yea."  he answered back

"I'm sorry you got hurt because of me." 

".....Shut up.. damn baka.... I got hurt on my own will no one forced me to help you... You're my best friend of course I will go as far as risking my life for you.... What can I say? I am a knuckle headed blondes best friend after all. Did you expect anything less from me?"

I smiled and Kiba walked to the bedside. I could tell he wanted to smack me across the head or wrap his arm around me and give me a knuckle twist in my head. We played around like that.  Instead, he hugged me and whispered something in my ear that was barely audible, but I heard it. 

I hugged him as tightly as I could without hurting myself. I could feel his tears on my shoulder as my was on his. We're best friends. what would you expect? 

~~~A few hours later~~~ 

It was getting late and visiting hours were about to end. Everyone was getting ready to leave. I wasn't ready for them to leave but I know they'll be back tomorrow morning. 

Deidara and Shikamaru gave me smiles and a high five while saying "See ya later Naruto." . Itachi did something unexpected and kissed my forehead with a "Be safe and sleep well." for a goodbye. Kiba hugged me with a "Hurry up and get better."  

I chuckled at him and remembered what he had told me earlier today. I smiled wide and waved at him. Before he left out the room I got his attention.

"Hey Kiba!" he turned around and looked at me with a grin

"Yea blondie."

"I love you too.... and I promise I wont act recklessly again.' I smiled and scratched the back of my head. He looked at me and that grin turned into a bigger smile.

"Alright Naruto.... Make sure you keep that promise."  

"Alright. I will Kiba." I smiled and he left the room

Sasuke and I were the only ones left in the room. After the door was shut, he smiled looking at me and I smiled back. He walked to me and gave me a long passionate kiss.

"I love you."

"I love you too Sasuke."

"I'll see you in the morning."

"Okay.." 

With that Sasuke left with one last kiss.
