Chapter 8: They know

Its been 2 days since the whole embarrassment thing happened at Ino's party. Naruto let go of his revenge after the regret he felt. He also apologized for the insults and everything that happened with Neji. Of course they just ignored him, but he didn't really think about it too much.

*Beep Beep Beep*

It was 6am and a Monday morning. Sasuke reached for the alarm and shut it off. He then shook Naruto so he could wake up.

"Hey.. Naru.. Wake up.. We have school"

Naruto didn't want to get up. He was too tired for that. Naruto pulled the pillow over his head and mumbled what sounded like 'two more minutes'. Sasuke rolled his eyes and went to shower. Seven minutes past and Naruto was still not up. Sasuke walked out the bathroom and shook Naruto again to wake up.

"Naruto.. Wake up.."

"Five more minutes..."

"Noo.. Its 6:10.. I gave you ten minutes"

Naruto growled and rolled over to Sasuke's side of the bed. He sat up and put his feet to the floor. The floor was cold. It sent shivers down his spine. Naruto got up and walked to the bathroom. He showered, brushed his teeth, (tried to) do his hair, and washed his face. When he was done, he put on some orange skinny jeans with a yellow shirt short sleeve shirt that had a red peace sign on it and some red high tops. He started to dress in lighter clothes. Of course anything he wore had the color orange in it. Sasuke dressed the same basically. He wore black skinny jeans with a dark blue short sleeve shirt that had a crescent moon on it with some black and blue shoes. He also had on a black leather glove on his right hand that had the finger parts cut off. On the back of it, it had a red skull on it.

When they got dresses they ate breakfast and went to school. When they got to school, people were staring at them like they were surprised. Sasuke just shrugged it off but Naruto wasn't comfortable with the stares and glares he was getting. Sasuke noticed and pulled Naruto closer to him. As they walk, they could hear people talking and giggling.

Naruto looked up at Sasuke who just walked hand in hand with him. Kiba and Shikamaru were walking together from the school building. They weren't getting the same looks as Naruto did. No one glared at Sasuke as much as they did Naruto.

A group of boys walked up to Naruto and Sasuke making them stop in their tracks. Kiba and Shika seeing this ran to their sides.

"Uzumaki.. We don't like homosexual bastards" one of the boys said

Why were they just picking at Naruto.? Was it because he used to get picked on and he was easily chosen? Or was it because he was with Sasuke? Nonetheless, Sasuke was about to say something when Naruto pulled his hand and stopped him from saying anything. They walked around the boys and the two friends followed behind. When they walked past them, one of the unknown boys grabbed Naruto by the shoulder making him stop in his tracks. Naruto stopped and turned around. Kiba and Shika let Naruto handle himself since he could, but Sasuke didn't think he could. Naruto had a grin on his face. He wasn't the push-over everyone thought he was. He was nice but he was cold at the same time. Naruto had changed once again and didn't fight as much as he did. He only fought to defend himself when necessary which was rare. He had to have heart and be heartless at the same time when it came to protecting himself and the people he loved. But this time was one of those defensive times.

Naruto let go of Sasuke's hand and walked up to the boy who grabbed him. He looked into his eyes slowly and the boy looked back. Yea the boy was bigger but it didn't mean anything to Naruto. The boy smirked and started to laugh.

"Hahahaha... And what are you doing exactly? You have to be crazy if you were trying to fight me."

"I was hoping that you and your rental homies could leave this 'homosexual bastard' and his friends alone."

"Or what...?"

"Or your gonna wish you were dead after I finished beating you to a pulp until you are unrecognizable." Sasuke said

The boys backed off. Sasuke grabbed Naruto's hand and they walked away heading for the school building. Kiba and Shikamaru followed behind hand in hand. As they walked away people started to say things in a melody loud enough for them to hear.

They ignored everyone and went on with their business. They went to their daily classes but people still starred at them.

It wasn't a bad day, if you don't count the morning threat Sasuke gave to those boys that were picking on Naruto. Other than that, everything was good and calm. Sakura and Ino still obsessed with popularity still went around with Neji and Sai bullying people. Hinata found a different group of people to hang out with. She didn't really fit it with the insults she watched her 'friends' give people. And Sasuke, Naruto, Kiba, and Shika stayed together the entire day.

When school was over, Kiba and Shika went to Sasuke and Naruto's house. Don't forget Itachi was home. They hung out for a while and had loads of fun. They did things couples who were best friends with the other couple would do. Play board games, some truth or dare, watched movies, and relaxed. Shika and Kiba spent the day with Naruto and Sasuke. The day was not yet over for them though. At least not for Naruto.
