"Thanks for this morning, it was fun. We should definitely do it again because you make waking up early worth it." I tell Cole once he pulls up to the studio.
"Of course, anytime." He smiles at me, making his dimples pop out. Not being able to help myself, I reach over and poke his dimple and run out the car. Knowing he's going to get mad at me for doing that.
He rounds the car and catches me by the waist and starts tickling me. "Say sorry." He scolds like I'm a five year old.
"I'm sorry." I breathe out.
Just as he stops, Adri walks up to us with a smile playing on her face. "It's 6 in the morning, how are you guys so energetic?"
Before we could answer Leah hops out of her car. "Cole fancy seeing you here."
"Good morning Leah, I was dropping Peanut off." He lets go of my waist and I miss the sudden contact of his hands on my waist. He steps away, but looks down at me. "I'll see you later. I'm going on my run now."
"See ya."
See ya. Who the fuck says that, I groan and start walking inside with Leah and Adri.
Leah runs in front of us, turning to face us but keeps walking backwards. "OMG. Did you see how he was holding your waist? That was the cutest."
I turn my head towards Adri, "and you say I'm energetic. Leah is basically bouncing off the walls." Adri doesn't answer, she takes a huge swing of coffee and rolls her eyes. Yeah she's definitely not a morning person.
"Of course I'm energetic. My baby has a boyfriend." She starts skipping down the halls. I'm worried for her. I think she drank too much redbull this morning.
"Okay first of all he is not my boyfriend. Second of all, I don't even like him." Yes I'm lying to my best friends because I do like Cole and it scares me. I've never spent this much time with anyone really just hanging out and not worrying about anything. When I'm with him, I can fully relax and he helps remind me of that as well.
"So are you going to stop bullshiting us or what?" Adri says, eyeing me, knowing damn well that I'm lying. Reading people is her best ability, it's her sixth sense.
"I am not bullshiting you. I'm being for real. I only see him as a friend." I defend myself knowing that Adri can still see through my act.
"Then why do you smile every time he texts you. Why are you always nervous around him? Why do you spend so much time with him?"
She's got me. I don't meet her gaze, if I meet her eyes she's going to know that she's right.
"You know what I think. I think that Zoe is falling for him but she's in denial because she's scared and she's feeling things that are unknown." Leah pushes the door open to the changing room. No one is in here as this is the one we usually go in and there are 2 others.
I fall back on the bench and put my hand to cover my eyes. "Ugh. Adri stop being so good at reading people. Leah, you should be a therapist."
"That's the plan." She tells me.
"Be for real with us right now. Do you like him?"
I take a deep breath and mumble "yes." They stay quiet for a while, so I move my fingers a bit just to take a look at their expressions.
Leah and Adri are both staring at me with grins stretched across their faces.
They both start screaming and jumping up and down.
"Okay guys calm down it's not that big of a deal." I try to calm them down a bit.
"Babe it's a big deal. You like Cole frickin Cole Vanderbiltt. For god's sake you even call him Coco." Adri comes over and starts running her fingers through my hair.
