Four am

chapter fourteen

It's finally Friday evening I dropped off Grandma and Grandpa at the airport since they had to get back to Canada. Now Adri, Leah, Leah's cousin Katarina and I are all in Adri's room deciding which bathing suits we want to wear. Actually let me rephrase that we all decided which ones we want to wear except for Adri. We're sprawled out on her bed while she stands in front of the mirror being the most indecisive person that I know.

Leah and I brought over some bathing suits and threw them on her bed while Adri was pulling hers out of the drawers and piling them on the bed.

"Are you guys going to come down soon?" David screams from the bottom of the stairs.

"Yeah just a bit longer." Adri screams back.

"Okay Kat is wearing the neon yellow bikini, Leah is wearing the pink, I'll wear the white. Now Adri girly you gotta just pick one, it's a pool party, not even a party it's a small gathering with 7 people." I tell her.

"I like the style of the black one but the baby blue one is such a nice colour." she whines.

"Just wear the baby blue one." Leah says and Kat hums agreeing with her. I push her into the bathroom and tell her to change.

We all start going down the stairs and walk towards the french style doors and push them open, the boys are already in the hot tub and let me say Cole's abs look very nice, with the neon hot-tub lights that are shining on him.

I walk closer to see Cole looking up and down my body, with his piercing green eyes staring longer at my legs and my chest.

"Holy."

"Fuck."

Cole and Callum say simultaneously. "We need to have pool parties more often."

"Yes we do."

"Pervs." We all roll our eyes. We started going into the tub and I slowly put one foot in not wanting the water to be too hot.

"Oh come on you big baby and get in the water already."

"Callum I would advise you to shut the fuck up, are you calling me a baby? You cried because Adri didn't want to give you a kiss." I shot back at him.

"Rude, you know Zoe ur the second most rudest person to me."

I fully emerge myself in the water leaving only my head out of the water, micking everyone else. "And who's the first?" I asked.

"Well lover boy obviously." I felt Cole tense up beside me.

"I'm not sure who you're talking about." I lied knowing what he was hinting at.

"You know what never mind you're kinda slow and I don't feel like explaining it to you."

"Sweetie maybe you're the one being slow, she was being sarcastic." Adri told him while putting her hand on his shoulder calming him. "Anyways Kat, how are you liking Chicago so far, even though you've only been here for... 7 hours."

"First you guys are kinda crazy for having a hot-tub party when it's 60 degrees outside, and secondly it's pretty nice out here. Leah and I went sightseeing for a bit after she picked me up from the airport."

"That's practically summer for us, 60 degrees isn't even that cold. You Californias just over exaggerate." Leah said.

We talked about random things here and there most of us, except for Mr. Grumpy Coco who would just sneak a few words here and there. Understandable knowing that he doesn't like talking or meeting new people as when he does all he does is throw mean and snarky remarks at them, he's very antisocial.
