"Minari!" I turned around and saw my dad coming back from his work, I quickly hugged him cause it has been a week since I have last saw him

"How are you doing, my penguin?" He let's out a stifled chuckle and I shook my head as he is still worrying about me even though, I'm fine

"I'm fine, so how was your work, dad?" I pushed him away and he smiled, probably saying that it was fine

"I want you to meet someone tomorrow and I hope you'll accept her." My ears perked from that and I tilted my head in confusion

"What do you mean by accept, dad?"

"You'll be meeting your step mom tomorrow, and her daughter.... She works for me in the company." He blurted out and I smiled from ear to ear

"Aigoo~ you found a girlfriend now?? Mama will be proud now that you have someone who can love you and protect you." I teased him, well I'm actually a little happy, however I am still missing my real mom..

She got into a car accident when I was 12, I was still young that time and I couldn't accept the fact that she died in front of us, she was the most affected one during the incident cause she had a weak heart.... It took me 8 years, yes 8 years to accept the fact that she was now gone and for dad, he couldn't move on, he loved her so much as much as I love her, and everytime he remembers her he'll cry and when he breaks dosn I can't help but to feel bad too..

"Alright, have you eaten yet?" He asked again that made me shook my head

"Dad, don't worry I am not a kid anymore and yes I already ate, I prepared a special meal for you, better try it out!" He patted my head and beam a smile

"That's great, dear! you really inherited those cooking skills from your mom." He said and I smiled, revealing my gummy smile

"I'll always be mom's girl." I uttered and he nodded

"Hey don't be nervous." Dad mumbled, assuring that everything will be okay

I'm actually nervous and excited cause, I'll finally be having a mom now, and what's good is that I'll be having a SISTER as well

I couldn't help but smile at the thought of it, I've always wanted to have a young sister who I can protect and play with because my life was kinda boring, I had no one to play with. I can't blame mom and dad for not having another daughter or son, I'm used to being alone though

"Mina!!" I heard dad and I quickly stood up, rushing towards them and I saw a gorgeous women, a small petite girl

I greeted them with a big smile on my face, the new mom I am seeing right now greeted me with a hug, and dad started introducing them to me

"Meet your step mom, and your new sister Chaeyoung." Dad stated and I tried giving the small girl a hug, but she was too shock and tried escaping, after that I just let go and scratched my nape in embarrassment

"Aigoo~ don't worry, minari. This cub is still a little shy but don't fret, you'll get along quickly." Chaeyoung's mom said and I just nodded as a sign of understanding, giving a small smile, I glanced at the girl and she was just emotionlessly staring right at me
