JOHNNY'S POV:
As the school bus rolled up to the school, Gabby took a deep breath. I could tell she was nervous to embark this year without Soda.
As we all got off the bus, Gabby and I walked together and Pony went the other way since he's younger than us.
I looked over at Gabby and she looked as white as a ghost. She was squeezing the straps of her backpack tightly, which showed she was nervous. I grabbed her hand to help sooth her. I rubbed her hand with my thumb to calm her. She looked at me, with tears in her eyes. I pulled her to the side of the hallway. "Hey. Look at me Gabby. It's gonna be okay there's nothing to worry about. I'm here, Pony's here, your friends, and your boyfriend! You'll see Soda later! Don't feel sad just because he isn't here because it'll ruin your first day!", I smiled kindly and pulled her into a hug. "Your right. I'll be okay", she smiled a smirky smile, and we parted ways. We're in the same grade but we don't have any classes together. She went left, and I went right.
GABBY'S POV:
After Johnny left, I ran into my best friend, Alyssa. Alyssas a greaser too. Shes the opposite of me though. Alyssas super confident and she doesn't care what people think, while all I do is worry what people think. She has bright blonde hair, green eyes, and freckles. While I have dark hair, deep blue eyes, and full natural reddish-pink lips.
Alyssas always been a good friend of mine, but I don't normally come to her with my problems. Alyssa and I have all of our classes together so I felt better. "Are you excited for today?!", she asked with a bright smile. "I mean kind of. It'd be better if Sodapop and my parents were still here though", I answered. "Well turn your frown upside down because we're gonna have the best day and year ever! And someone told me Harry's in our class so your gonna see your boo thang!!". I smiled when she said Harry's name. I really like Harry. Harry's a socs, so the gang doesn't really approve of him, but I think he's a good one.
Alyssa was right. I hugged her and by then, I had a smile on ear to ear. When I smiled, Alyssa said, "woah! You looked like Soda when you smiled just now!". When Alyssa said that it reminded me of my mom. My mom used to say Soda and I had identical smiles, which would make sense since were twins. But when Alyssa said that, it made me feel like my mom was with me right then. I felt warm inside and smiled again.
Alyssa and I linked arms, and walked down the hallway to our classroom. On the way to class, she was telling me about the big crush she has on Johnny. Ever since we were little, shes had the biggest crush on Johnny. Alyssa's way too scared to tell Johnny how she feels though. I've made it my dying goal to get her and Johnny together. No matter what I do, I'm gonna get them together.
Alyssa walked ahead of me to our classroom, but she slowly back out of the room and blocked me from the door. "Uhh Lyssa what are you doing?? Let me in..", I said with a confused expression on my face. "What would you do if I told you that Harry was in the classroom, with a red head monster socs by the name of Cherry...?", she said with a nervous and scared reaction on her face.
Harry's my boyfriend, as I've mentioned before. We were never super close but. I really cared about him so when Alyssa said this I was super confused.
"Haha very funny. Now come on Lys, move out of the doorway..", I said as I gently shoved her. She gave me a consoling look. As I stepped into the classroom I looked to the right. When I did, I instantly regret it. I saw Harry stroking Cherry's hair. I turned to Alyssa, and I was hurt. I didn't know how to feel. When I turned back to the classroom, that's when I saw it. Harry and Cherry were kissing. And not a small kiss either. Not a peck. They were kissing. For a long time. And they didn't stop.
Tears welled up in my eyes, and I ran. I didn't know where to, but I ran.
