May 31st, 2018, Zephyr One, Location: Uknown
"Three more cities just went dark. It's spreading too fast," Jemma exclaimed.
"The lighthouse is still two hundred miles out!" I countered.
"Hey! You're not supposed to be here. Where the hell is this girl's mother?" an agent said. I twisted in my seat, seeing Robin.
"Polly didn't make it this far," Jemma said quietly as Robin continued to approach.
"Robin, go back downstairs with the others. It's not safe up here," May scolded slightly.
"It's okay. We survive the crash," she said.
"What cra--" alarms started blaring all around us and the Zephyr shook violently.
"There's a gravity storm heading right for us!" Jemma shouted.
"Sit down! Buckle up!" Robin climbed into May's lap, who wrapped her arms around the girl leaving me to pilot.
"There's something else I need..."
-
All the lights flicked off, turning to red. "Well, it's not like someone forgot to pay the electric bill," I commented.
"The Kreepers are playing games again," Flint said.
"It feels more like an endgame. We need to move quickly, get to level three, where Fitz hid those weapons," Mack said.
"Had to leave them on the level with the giant space bugs, huh? Saw one of them when I first arrived," I muttered.
"I haven't. And I still don't want to. Service tunnel's up ahead. It's our way up," Flint was leading us through the corridors when someone came over, obviously seeking a fight.
"Hey, Flint. This is your fault, so you know!" the woman shouted.
"Hey! Back off," I growled, stepping up and using my size to my advantage.
"They already cut the water. Now the lights? They're punishing us for what you did," she snapped.
"You should be down with the other Inhumans where you belong!" another man spat.
"Turn yourself! You can't be here!" people started shouting.
"Hey!" I placed my hand on Flint's back, starting to lead him away. "You don't want to go down this road."
-
"It's clear--for now," I said, running out of the wall and snapping back to my normal state.
"Let's go," we started to move, but Flint wasn't following. "It's not much further."
"You sure?" he asked nervously.
"We made it off this floor alive before. We'll do it again," Mack said firmly.
"And then what? Back to level ten, where my friends want to kill me? At least the Roaches would be quick," I exchanged a glance before going over to Flint.
"Some of my friends never saw me the same after I became an Inhuman, but I did nothing wrong, and neither did you," I assured him.
"Hey!" Mack nodded for us to come over and we approached a corridor, seeing a Kree spraying some sort of smoke everywhere.
"That's the stuff the Blues use to keep the Vrellnexians away," he explained.
"What's he doing on this floor?" I questioned, ready to summon my orbs. We watched the Kree march away.
