"I'll get an iced coffee, please." I told the waitress at the somewhat fancy cafe I was at. I sat next to Sammy and across from Johnson. Everyone else had classes, so it was just us three. I turned to face the boys, smiling at them. "I feel like I haven't talked to you two in ages."

"We see each other every damn day, Baird." Johnson smirked.

"I mean, like, really talked. I see Jack all the time and Nash and I always have classes in the same buildings so I see them often. Not you two." I said, leaning back in the booth.

"I guess that's true. We legit have no classes together." Said Sammy. What classes was he even taking? I ignored the thought, not wanting to get into school.

The waitress came quickly, giving us all our drinks and gave the boys their blueberry muffins. The smell of coffee reminded me of my favourite cafe back home. I sighed, my chest tightened and my longing for my old town. "Do you guys ever miss home?" I asked, afraid they would say no.

"Of course." Said Johnson.

"Yeah. I miss the ol' group, the lake, the long drives in the middle of no where. I kinda even miss school." Said Sammy, wrapping his hands around his hot cup.

"I agree. It was like a huge family back home. Everyone knew each other, and you may not like everyone, but you could definitely make small talk. Here it just feels sorta empty. We literally know no one." Said Johnson. They both read my mind.

"Exactly! I thought I was the only one." I said, bringing my knees up to my chest.

"No, definitely not. I know Hayes is having a rough time too." Said Jack. Shit. Hayes. I hadn't talked to him in what felt like weeks. I somehow remembered a bunch of missed calls from last night, and I ignored them and continued to dance with Nate. That thought just reminded me of my terrible hangover.

"Really?" I asked, feeling stupid for ignoring him.

"Well yeah. I mean, all of his friends moved away and left for college. Now here he is, a little sophomore not really having any close friends. Apparently he's still super popular, but he doesn't really have anyone."

"What about Shawn?" I asked. If we're gonna be honest, Jack and I basically ran the group. If their was a problem we would fix it, we were basically the parents. . It would break my heart to hear that they weren't friends anymore.

"Shawn has Julianna. And you know he's been drifting away this past year." Sammy said, looking down at me. Shawn had been seeing us less, hanging around more with Juju. She never fit in with us. I didn't think he would just drop Hayes like that. "Plus, he's a senior now. I don't think he wants to hang around with just a sophomore. Hayes has to see it coming anyways." My heart basically shattered.

"We should Skype him late." Said Johnson.

"Good idea. After Gilinsky and Grier are done with classes let's go to Nash's room and call the Griers. I miss Hayes and Skylynn." I said, thinking of their adorable little sister. "Enough with that. Let's talk about you guys. What's new?"

"Honestly, nothing really. Just studying, trying to flirt, just the usual." Johnson told us. He was always the smart one.

"I''ve just been getting pussy, partying. You know, the usual." Winked Sammy. He was always the fuckboy. "You?"

"Nothing special. Smoking, drinking, getting myself into bad situations. Nothing new." I smirked, lighting up a cigarette. We were outside, meaning 'smoke all you want'.

"Oh yeah. How was last night anyways?" Asked Jack. I rolled my eyes, knowing they saw Jack and I's little fight and me head off with Nate.

"Urgh, nothing. I was just really drunk and Nate was there and I was mad and..."My voice trailed off.
