I woke up to my annoying alarm. I quietly groaned, not wanting to leave this small paradise. Jack's arm was draped over my chest, and he was laying on his stomach with his head near mine. He looked like an angel, peacefully sleeping. We figured out that the only way for him to sleep through the night was for him to hold me. He refused to tell me why he couldn't sleep, but I loved seeing him happier.
I kissed his forehead, and slipped out of his embrace. I had early classes, while his only started a bit later. I jumped in the shower, letting the hot water soothe my skin. By the time I was done doing my makeup and hair, I was starting to be a little late. I groaned in frustration as Jack walked in. He leaned against the doorframe, shirtlessly munching on some cereal.
"Jack, pick me out something to wear." I said, trying to pack my bags.
"Really?" He questioned. He knew how picky I was with my wardrobe.
"Yes, just hurry!" I frantically ran around the room. A few minutes later, he showed me what he had.
"Is this okay?" He asked as I through it on over my underwear. I took a peak in the mirror. Black leggings, a white t-shirt with two black stripes on either sleeves, and black converse. It was okay.
"Yes, it's perfect." I reassured him, heading towards the front door.
"Do you really need to go to class?" He asked, grabbing my hand before I could leave. As much as I wanted to fuck him, I needed to get out of the apartment. Even though Mia's party had only been last night, I felt like I hadn't seen her in forever.
"Sorry, baby." I softly kissed his lips. He grabbed the small of my back, pulling me in for more. Out of habit, I wrapped my arms around his neck.
"Stay." He mumbled.
"I need to go." I pulled apart. "See you soon!" I called out before he could snatch me again.

I sat down in between Mia and Nate, both looking hungover as fuck. I sighed, running my hands through my messy hair. Mia leaned foreword, taking off her headphones and turning to me.
"Hey." She smiled.
"Hey guys." I said. Nate gave me a quick smile. He had the same expression Jack had on last night.
"Did you ever find out what was wrong with Jack?" She asked. No, I thought to myself. Jack has been acting very weird lately.
"What's wrong with Jack?" Said Nate, suddenly becoming very interested in the conversation.
"I don't know." I shrugged.
"Did he say anything?" He intrigued, a weird look on his face. Anger? Worry?
"No…"I said.
"What's wrong with you?" Asked Mia, obviously noticing Nate's weirdness as well.
"Do you know where he is? I need to talk to him." He stated, pulling out your phone.
"What the hell is going on?" I asked, starting to get worried. Why was everyone acting so sketchy lately?
"Nothing, fuck. Leave me alone." He snapped, typing on his cell.
"What's up your ass?" I snapped, crossing my arms.
"Shut the fuck up, Baird." He muttered.
"I'll shut up when you stop being an ass, Maloley." I returned.
"Nate calm down." Mia defended me.
"Fuck you guys." He said, throwing all his books into his black JanSport. "I need to get out of here." He stood up.
"Fine, come back when you're done being a dick." I muttered as he ran away. I watched him flip me off, and I couldn't help but roll my eyes.
"What the fuck is wrong with him?" Asked Mia as I turned to her.
"I have no fucking clue, but Jack better not be acting like that when I get home." I stated.
"I'm telling you, girls are a lot easier." She half-joked. I rolled my eyes and opened my books, ready to start class.

Jack
It was dark out and I could barely make out two feet in front of me. I waited here, behind an old alley way. I leaned against the cool wall, trying to calm myself. My hands were slightly shaking and my mouth was so dry. I closed my eyes, knowing I would regret this. I guess it's too late now. If only I hadn't been so stupid. I wouldn't be in this position if I had just get my job with Nash's uncle.
I hear the patter of footsteps against the wet gravel. I looked up to find a boy, roughly my age. I could barely make out his features, except for a mess of white hair. He cleared his throat, and shifted his weight. I stood up strait, tightening my hood around my head. My snapback fell slightly in front of my face, and I made sure he wouldn't be able to recognize it in daylight.
"Got the stuff?" He asked, his deep voice surprising me.
"Do you got the money?" I replied, trying to sound intimidating. He pulled out a few crumpled up bills and handed them foreword. I took out the baggie of cocaine, replacing his money with it.
"Are there other dealers 'round here?" He asked. Aren't you not supposed to talk during a drug deal?
"Uh, yeah." I cleared my throat. "There's this whole other business or something, I think." I said.
"You think?" I watched the corner of his mouth turn up. Crack heads, I thought to myself.
"I'm new." I shrugged my shoulders. He nodded and we awkwardly stood there. A gust of wind passed, making me hate autumn even more. Way too cold.
"So, I'll see you around." He said, turning away. I started to turn my way, when he called out. "Oh, and Jack?" How does he know my name?
"Uh, yeah?" I asked.
"Watch out." He smirked, turning away and leaving. I rolled my eyes.
"Whatever, freak." I said, walking my own path. I walked thinking about my first, very strange, but very real, drug deal.
I couldn't help but think, something feels wrong.
