I walked through the clear hallway, Luke and Calum each holding one of my arms. For once, I was actually confident. I had a large smirk on my face, because today was the day I was escaping. After two weeks of being here, I was ready to get out. I just somehow had to get alone with Jack and Nate to explain our plan. Luke and I had stayed up many nights when he was supposed to be 'guarding' me. I learned a bit about him, but we mostly just talked about the escape and my past. I could even say we're friends now.
I made my way into the office. Charlie told me he wants me to see Jack and Nate, probably to see how beat up they were and make me feel bad again. But I won't break down, not this time, because I know I can get out. Calum was even in on it, because we needed a little help, and he didn't agree with keeping us here.
Calum turned open the doorknob and Luke gave me a reassuring pinch. I took a deep breath and walked into the room. It looked the same, with all the same people in it. Nate and Jack were strapped down to chairs, but I gasped at the sight of Jack. I hadn't seen them since my last encounter, and that didn't end well. It was so weird seeing Jack so beat up, yet so... livid? He was actually awake, and I saw his eyes widened as I walked into the room. My stomach dropped, Harry's lips flashing through my mind. Does he know? No, he will never know.
"Erica?" He gasped, his black eye making me cringe.
"Jack." I said, trying to make my way out of the boys' tight grip.
"Are you okay? Are you hurt?" He said, jumping up and down. "Did you hurt her?" He asked turning to Charlie. "YOU SICK BASTARD!"
"Jack, shut up." I said as they tied me down, very loosely. If I know anything about Charlie, is that it's better to play nice.
"Luke told Jack and I." Whispered Nate as Jack yelled at Charlie again. I hadn't realized they had seated me so close to Nate, but maybe they did this on purpose. I simply nodded not wanting to say too much. I drew myself back to Jack and Charlie's conversation.
"I bet you anything she still loves me." Charlie said too cockily. I realized this may be my only chance.
"You're right!" I exclaimed, straitening my back, feeling the knife slightly digging into my thigh.
"What?" Jack turned to me, clearly not filled up to date on everything.
"I'm sorry, Jack. I've always loved Charlie." I lied strait through my teeth.
"I knew it." Said Charlie, walking towards me. "But you still need to prove it."
"Come here, baby." I smirked, even though I felt like puking. He walked over, and the closer he got, the more I pushed the knife closer to my hand. When he was only a few inches away, I puckered my lip as we came face to face.
And in a sudden burst of confidence of energy, I was free from my restraints and my long knife was implanted in Charlie's stomach.
"Did you seriously think I could ever love you?" I smirked as Calum and Luke detached Jack and Nate.
"I'M GOING TO FUCKING KILL YOU! ALL OF YOU!" Charlie yelled.
"See you on the flip side!" I giggled as we all piled out of the room.
Seconds later sirens went off, and all the lights were flashing red. I ran along with the other boys for as long as we could. After a few minutes we stopped exactly where Luke and I had planned to. We had taken a secret-ish doorway, leading to the only place in the massive building that wasn't all white and transparent. We were surrounded by grey, cement, walls that seemed to never end. Too many twists and turns to actually maneuver if you had never seen this before. Luckily, I knew exactly how to get out thanks to Luke. I looked around, making sure that this is exactly how Luke had described it. The hallway separated into three separate sections.
