The Dangerous Game of Luigi, Mr.L, & Dimentio

What Plan?

Luigi tapped his foot impatiently as he waited for Mario and Daisy to arrive. It was now morning and Luigi was still quite shaken from last night's events. Mr.L was back, and he had a new alter-ego to hide behind.

Luigi's thoughts were cut short by the sound of knocking. He rushed over and opened the door.

"I came as fast as possible!" Daisy exclaimed, "I shouldn't have left you alone!"

"I'm just glad that you're here now," Luigi replied with a hug.

Daisy went inside and Mario walked up to Luigi.

"NOW are you going to take this threat seriously?" Mario asked.

"Yes," Luigi said with a sigh.

"Good. Now let's start planning out how we can catch him." Mario stated.

Everyone was seated around a table, deep in thought. They were all pondering over three questions.

1. How did Mr.L come back?

2. Who is Mr.L's new alter-ego?

3. What is Mr.L after?

"What could Mr.L want some Mushroom for?" Daisy asked.

"Well, when mixed properly, that specific Mushroom is what caused my transformations into Mr.L." Luigi replied.

"But that makes no sense!" Mario retorted, "Why would he want to be able to change BACK? Wouldn't he want to keep control over whoever it is he possessed?"

"But then he would be easily spotted!" Luigi exclaimed, "He needs the alter to be able to get stuff like food, shelter, etc. That's the main reason he even tolerated me! And if he goes so long without transformations, the two consciousness fight for control. Sometimes THAT doesn't even need to happen for the transformations to get weird..."

"But what is he AFTER?" Daisy questioned, "Like, what is his main GOAL?"

"Probably mass genocide," Mario muttered.

"I highly doubt that!" Luigi retorted, "We don't have enough evidence to support anything!"

They all let out a sigh.

"Well, there's no way I'm leaving Luigi's side again!" Daisy exclaimed.

Luigi chuckled. They could hear knocking at the door.

"Who's that?" Mario asked.

Luigi paled. He forgot that he invited over Dimentio. Mario and Daisy didn't know that he was alive, and now was definitely not a good time to tell them! They would immediately accuse him of helping Mr.L.

"No one!" Luigi said a little too fast, "Er... I don't know who it is. I'll go look."

Luigi quickly stood up and rushed to the door. He opened it to see Dimentio.

"Can you open the door ANY slower?" Dimentio asked sarcastically.

"Now is not the time. My brother and Daisy are here right now and they don't know you're alive!" Luigi exclaimed.

"Well, then what do you propose I do?" Dimentio questioned, "And do not say wait out here. It would be YEARS before you reached the door again."

"Just teleport into my room and I'll meet you there," Luigi replied.

Dimentio scoffed and then snapped his fingers, teleporting away. Luigi let out a sigh of relief as he walked back to Mario and Daisy.

"So... who was it?" Daisy asked.
