Nobodys point of view
"EVERYONE WEAPONS OUT AND ON TARGET!" Rick yelled as trucks and trucks pulled up to the gates of the Prison.
Everyone did as instructed and there were guns on every man there.

For minutes nothing happened, everyone remained in their trucks, including the Governor.
But soon enough a huge tank emerged from the trees, knocking down all the vegetation with it.
It was unclear who was inside it, but Rick could make out only one person from the window.
That was Woodbury's first mistake. You should always put more than one person in a tank so that if one of them dies, another can take on the role of driving and firing.

The Governor emerged from his truck with his hands in the air, urging Ricks group not to fire. He had a megaphone in one hand, and a machine gun in the other.

"Drop your weapon," Rick yelled so that he could hear,
"You see I don't think thats really the point in a war Ricky, I'm here to kill you all, so I'm not gonna drop my weapon now am I?"
"Then why raise your hands? Is that not a sign of surrender?"
"For me that was just a sign that I didn't want to kill you yet, before, I just wanna chat."

Meanwhile
"Fleur wheres Michonne?" Carl said scanning the field,
"I don't know, maybe she's got a good plan or something? I trust her."
For a few minutes Fleur and Carl listened to Rick and the Governor talking, but then,
"Wheres Daddy?" Fleur said in worry, "CARL?! Wheres my father?!"
Carl scanned the field this time while Fleur started hyperventilating,
"Fleur calm down its okay, I'm sure Michonne and Hershel just had something to do."
"The plan was that we all stay here Carl, not run off and do your own plans!!"
"Shhhhh," Carl walked over to comfort her,
"No no no, get back to your position, its not safe they could fire."
Fleur wiped away her tears and faced her gun back to the truck she was targeting.

"We've got a tank Rick, a whole town of people who are armed, admit it... your not winning here," the Governor boomed through the megaphone,
"So what? Don't think I don't have eyes, your people don't look experienced whatsoever!" Rick yelled back, "Most of your people will probably cowardly run away when the shooting starts, and then your numbers will minus by half, maybe even more,"
Rick was right, not only were the people of Woodbury inexperienced, they were also the biggest cowards on earth having not ever shot a single walker.

There was a short period of silence, where the Governors somewhat straight face curved into an awful and cunning smirk.
"Ahhhh but see Ricky, if you hadn't been so focused on talking to me, maybe you would've realised that two of your people did just that."
Rick looked around him, and a shocked an confused expression crossed his face,
"No, Michonne would never run, shes the best out of all of us! And Hershel has helped us for so long, he was adamant to win this!"
"Okay okay, so maybe I lied a little, they didn't run away," The Governors stepped out the way to reveal two familiar figures behind him, "We took them."

"NOO!!!" Maggie and Fleur screamed in unison, "Oh my god," Rick said under his breath, fighting the tears that were so close to showing, "Maybe we shouldn't have a war," the Governor laughed, "Maybe I should just kill your two friends, and then yo...

"NOO!!!" Maggie and Fleur screamed in unison,
"Oh my god," Rick said under his breath, fighting the tears that were so close to showing,
"Maybe we shouldn't have a war," the Governor laughed, "Maybe I should just kill your two friends, and then you will give me all your stuff."
"Never," Rick called, "How about you don't kill our friends, and we give you half."
For a second it looked like The Governor was actually thinking about it, but that quickly changed.

"Not good enough," he simply said with the same smug smile, then he grabbed Michonnes Katana and held it to Hershels neck.
"DON'T!" Rick hollered, and the katana just stayed there, millimetres away from Hershels beard.
"Look maybe we can sort this out!"
The Governor stared, giving him the chance to speak and take the spotlight,
"How about we let go of all of this, all the hatred, all the war, and nobody gets hurt!
Everyone is alive right now, everyone has made it so far, almost two years into the apocalypse!
We've all done bad things, bad things are part of life now, but we did them just to stay alive! And we can still come back, we're not too far gone, we get to go back!
I know we all can change,"

Slowly the Governor removed the katana from Hershels neck and held it by his side.

The Governor just gazed at Ricks group, it was obvious he was deeply thinking and so nobody talked. Everything was silent.
The silence was unbearable though, because every second that went by was a different kind of torture for Fleur and Maggie, not knowing if their father was going to survive.
And Michonne, poor Michonne. The most unlikely person you would've thought to be kidnapped, but she did.

"I know we all can change," those words played over and over in the Governors head.
Flashes of his daughter, his wife. What would they think about how he had turned out?
They would be scared of him, sure, but if he had always been cold then maybe they would still be alive.
But they wouldn't love him.
Did he care anyways though? They are both in heaven after all.

'We all can change,' the words played faster now, and gave the Governor some sort of discomfort.
Now he was replaying the death of his wife, the death of his daughter.
'We all can change,'
"No," the Governor whispered under his breath,
He couldn't change, this was life now, this was him.
"NO!" The Governor yelled now, trying to push the repeating words for his brain.
He smacked his head, cupped his ears, tried to drown out the non-existent noise as everyone stared at him like a mad man.

"Are you okay?" Rick asked confused at the sudden outburst, "I repeat, we all can change Governor, we just need to find peace and try."
This didn't make the Governor feel better, in fact it made him feel ten times worse. Because now the voices were deafening, and he was filled to the brim with rage.

And for a last split second, there was peace.

"Liar," The Governor spat, swinging the Katana and bringing it down on Hershels neck.
