Nobodys point of view
"Fleur, Carl, stay behind me and Michonne, only kill walkers that get too close and DON'T waste ammo!!"
Rick said looking them in the eyes sternly, "You got me?!?!"?
"Yes dad, yes," Carl answered, but Fleur however didn't reply. Her face was red and her eyes were glossy from crying.
Carl put his arms around her pulling her in,
"Fleur listen to me, we have to leave right now, I want you to stay with me and I want you to shake out of this until we find a place to stay okay?!"
Fleur nodded, not completely listening,
"FLEUR!" Carl shouted, finally grasping her attention,
"Okay," she whispered under her breath,
"Good lets go."The four ran around the cell block one walls, dodging most of the walkers unless they were within half a meter.
Soon they were back in the front field, where Michonne had just a few minutes ago killed the Governor.
The field was the worst, it was crawling with them, and this was where they had to use up some ammo."Stay close," Michonne said looking back to make sure everyone was together,
It took a while but they did manage to reach the front gate and escape the prison. After that they ran, ran until their shoes started giving them blisters and they could feel their brains underneath their skulls.
Then they stopped on the main roads, and gathered at the side."Where are we gonna go? We don't have a car?" Carl said catching his breath,
"I don't know, we need to find a house," Rick replied, "The shooting lured a lot of walkers around this area so it not safe to camp out,"
"There might not be any houses for miles," Michonne said,
"I think theres a cabin a couple miles away, if we are fast we could get there before sundown," Rick suggested,
"Sure," Carl agreed,
"Okay," Michonne nodded. They had a ten minute rest, drank some water and then started running again.
And they did get there before sundown. The cabin was scary, it looked like the perfect place for a horror story, but to be honest, they were already living in one.
There were two walkers inside that they could see, scratching at the windows to reach them outside.
Rick walked inside, sorted them out and then gave a hand signal to tell Michonne and the others that it was okay to come in.Inside was musty, cold and empty. Empty apart from the scattered paperwork that was rotting away, stationary and desks that were all toppled over.
They didn't know what this cabin was used for before, but it was obviously an office-type workspace.Michonne picked up some of the pieces of paper to see if any were useful, but most of them were illegible or fell apart in her hands.
The cabin had no upstairs, it was all on one small floor so that was where they would be sleeping. Before dark, Rick managed to make four temporary beds out of some sleeping bags he found in a cupboard.
Fleur fell asleep first, it was good that she even managed to after the traumatic day. But Rick, Michonne and Carl fell asleep much later, because they were up chatting."What's it gonna be like?" Michonne said in a whisper, "Without Hershel, I mean,"
"Different," Rick sighed, "He helped us so much along this journey, I don't know if we'd have even made it this far without him,"
"We definitely wouldn't," Carl said, "He taught us everything we knew about the crops, we cant live without food."There was a short moment of silence before Rick spoke again,
"Do you think we are the only ones alive now?"
"No," Michonne replied, "The others made it, we just need to find them,"
"How do you know?"
"I don't know, not for sure anyways, but I have a feeling and our group is so strong,"
"I hope so," Carl murmured,
"Me too,"
"Me three."Carl put his arm around Fleur who was definitely out,
"She looks so pretty when she sleeps doesn't she?" Carl smiled,
"Yes son, yes," Rick giggled,
"Your gonna have to be there for her," Michonne said firmly, "Shes not in a good state at the moment and that makes this world more dangerous for her,"
"Okay," Carl nodded,
"And as for you, Carl, don't let her bad mood bring you down too if you get what I mean? Don't let it sadden you, because she will get over it... she should anyways."Carl didn't answer, he just looked at the floor, annoyed at Michonnes uncertain speech.
'She should anyways,' what was that supposed to mean? He had hoped she would be over it in days... but I guess that was wishful thinking. There wasn't much more talking, and the three were asleep too in less than an hour.
In the morning they felt groggy and sleepless, even though they had all gotten loads.
But after a small meal of mice and rodents they set off again, going off the main road this time and taking the more nature-overtaken route."Wait what's that?" Michonne said, holding up her hand to silence everyone,
"What?" Rick whispered,
"I think I hear a car."
They sprinted through the woods following the sound, hoping they would reach it just in time.
But when they reached the main road again the car was in the distance,
"FUCK!" Michonne said, angry and gasping for breath,
"Well at least now we know we aren't the only survivors," Carl smiled,
"What do you mean?" Fleur and Rick said in unison,
"Didn't you see? That was one of our trucks, specifically the one I saw Tom, Katelyn, Maggie and Sasha getting into."
