A/N: Happy Easter to those who are celebrating it today. I know this may look like a long time skip, but the next chapter will bring more info about this time skip. The next chapter will be the finale, and then there will be a small epilogue, and with that, the story will be finished. Thank you to everyone who was with me on this journey of writing this story. Hope you all enjoyed reading it, as much as I enjoyed writing it. Have a great Sunday :)

"Why are you sitting there alone, looking you are about to grow mushrooms in the sand?" a female voice approached Jin, startling him out of his thoughts. He did not have to turn around to know it was Marie who came looking for him. Besides his mother, his future mother-in-law, and Kiki, Marie was the only female present at the beach resort so far. Kiki and the mothers were all locked in an argument about this and that over preparations, and he was all alone amongst females.

"Just..." he did not know how to continue his train of thought. He wanted to tell M everything that was on his mind, but at the same time, he felt like he wanted to sulk in that spot in the sand a while longer.

"You are thinking about what happened this week?" Marie's voice came from behind him, and soon he felt her sitting there, her back turned to him as she leaned into him. While he was looking out to the sea, she was looking back to the little hut her friend and both mothers were occupied in conversation in.

"I...yeah. I just feel like this week turned upside-down when it was supposed to be a happy event for all of us. And I have no idea what to do" he sighed, letting his pent-up emotions pour out to M without caring about anything anymore. He was just as upset about this ordeal as Kiki, and she invested even more time than him in this.

"You have no idea how to deal with it, or you don't know where to start?" came Marie's question, and he grunted, not knowing the answer himself. "Huh, for a smart guy like yourself, sometimes the obvious answer doesn't hit you even when it's staring right in your face" she continued, leaning her head backward with enough strength to knock against his shoulder to bring his attention to her.

"What is that you want to say, M?" Jin turned his head slightly, peering at her over his shoulder. She was sitting in the sand, holding her knees, forming a tiny ball almost, hidden by his wide shoulders if anyone were to look their way from the sea. The wind ruffled her now shoulder-length hair which curled up in itself due to its natural curliness. She looked like a child from this perspective.

"Well, Mr. Kim, what is that you two wanted to do this weekend?" M asked, never once turning to look at him, making him turn to look once more at the sea.

"Get married, obviously" he rolled his eyes with that reply, wanting for the now-graduated Marie to get to the subject faster.

"Was that all? Was that the only purpose of this weekend?" she asked after a few seconds of silence.

Jin could only look at the sea, mulling over the question, before the answer hit him just as another wave crashed on the small beach. This time, he turned completely to look at his friend, one of the few people he knew the longest from the friend group. She looked up at him with a small smile, waiting for him to answer the question she asked, not because she did not know the answer, but she wanted to make sure he would never forget it again.

"I wanted to see Kiki smile, to promise to be hers for this entire lifetime, and bring her happiness. While the marriage would just be the act for this to be official in the eyes of everyone, what I wanted most from this weekend was for her to be happy, and for us to share this happiness with the people we care about most. I wanted this weekend to be the start of our lifelong happiness" he said, a conviction in his voice, fire in his eyes, and M's smile grew wider.
