"ya know johnny, maybe he isn't that bad..." eden said as the two decided walked to school today.

"he's just not good with people but you guys were out on that porch for a while huh?"

"well we smoked and he listened to me talk about the stars and what not, i could go on about that for days."

johnny smiled at her and chuckled. he knows dallas wants to fix things, he just doesn't know how through all his stubbornness.

ponyboy and eden had one class together and that was english. ponyboy as well as eden were excited for their upcoming writing assignment. they were told friday they were going to have one but they didn't know what it was about.

"okay class, i know some of us are waiting on what the writing assignment is about am i right?" the teacher looked at pony and smiled. "well, i'm giving you three weeks to write a short story on what drives you in life. though it is a short story, it still needs to be lengthy-"

the teacher went on about the rules of the assignment but it made eden think. what the hell drives her?

i mean after he parents passed, she's just been living? she had no big desire to die but life really wasn't all that for lately either. this really triggered her anxiety and she just couldn't wait for the class to be over so she raised her hand to "use the bathroom" and walked out of school.

yea, she had the gang but she will always feel guilty for feeling good around them. eden doesn't realize that her parents don't want her to grief, they'd rather her live a normal life.

she knew what to do to get her mind off everything.

cause some trouble.

she hasn't been as spontaneous as she used to and she needed to feel like that again. she's a shepard, not a pussy.

was she going to steal, was she going to spray paint a socs house? both sounded great to her.

walking into the nearest hardware store, she grabbed two spray cans and hid them in her bag. most stores usually have some candy at the checkout so she just bought a hershey bar like nothing happened and walked out. stealing was so much easier when no one knew her and when she was beautiful. she could either leave the store or flirt her way out of a situation and she was cool with both.

though it was a long ass walk, eden made it to bucks. she thought to bring dallas along because she really wasn't completely familiar with tulsa still. dallas would also be the only one willing to do this bs with her anyways.

she made her way into bucks and asked if dallas was around. he was, so she walked upstairs and knocked on his bedroom door.

"who the hell is knocking?" dallas whispered to himself as he got up. visitors for him was rare.

"oh it's you, aren't you supposed to be in school kid?"

eden rolled her eyes at the name she gave him although they were the same age.

"we're both 17 you dipshit i was just wondering if you wanted to go spray up a socs house or car i don't know."

"shit well you are a shepard i should've seen this coming from a mile away, let's go steal some spray paint and go."
