(a/n: this is a filler chapter!!)

"are you fucking crazy dallas?" eden was pissed. "first off, you have a sprained wrist still, and second off, johnny better not be put into that rumble or i won't hesitate to. break another foot trying to stick it up-"

"hey miss sheapard, i have your food ready." the nurse said

"oh, okay thank you." the girl embarrassingly smiled as the nurse placed the tray of food in front of eden, then left.

she shook her head trying not to laugh.

"back to what i was saying," eden chewed

"look doll, johnny's been afraid to fight for a while now, so he'll probably stay here with you. and as for me, i'm dallas winston i'll survive. you think a little sprain won't stop me from punching someone's head in?"

"whatever, just be careful alright?"

"alright doll," he kissed her head "i'll be back tomorrow and i'll tell you how it goes."

eden basically read the whole night before attempting at going to sleep. sleeping with her back to the thin hospital bed was probably the most uncomfortable feeling ever, but what made it worse was her anxiety for the boys.

"yea pony kick his ass!" two-bit yelled while taking down a soc.

pony wasn't the violent type but the greasers had it out for the socs tonight and no one was backing down. a heavy storm poured onto the field everyone was fighting on, making injuries more applicable for anyone. that didn't stop anyone though, especially darry. the arms on that man could lift thor's hammer for godsake. swiftly, he'd lift a soc in the air and throw them hard on the ground. it was just too easy.

soda seemed like a sweet innocent boy, but with the influence of his tag team partner for the rumble steve, how could he not get rowdy from time to time?

then we had dallas.

oh dally.

taking two guys at once, taking blows to the face like it was nothing. this was therapy for him oddly enough. he loved the thrill of doing things he shouldn't be doing and the feeling of revenge. it filled him with joy. he was definitely in the zone right now.

after many bruises, cuts and knock outs, a soc brought out a weapon, so it was a win for the greasers!!

the gang huddled up together, hugging and jumping excitedly.

"let's go see eden!! we need to tell her the news!!" soda yelled.

"okay, but let's bring pony home first the kids passed out."

back at the hospital, johnny stayed with eden as they talked and shared stories so eden wouldn't be as anxious. quality time with johnny was something eden would genuinely pay for. he was quiet to others, but eden gave him the confidence to ease up and for that he was thankful. he was honestly such a down to earth and funny kid under all the built up trauma. anyone would be happy to see him like she did.

after a while, the boys walked in sweaty and bruised.

"you guys look like zombies." johnny and eden said at the same time.

"jinx!" eden yelled.

"well we still won girly! how ya feelin tho?" two asked.

"what!! i'm so proud of you boys i bet you really showed em. and as for me, i couldn't sleep for the life of me but now that you guys are safe...wait, where's pony?"

"he got knocked out. he woke up when we dropped him off at the house but i think he's got a mild concussion." darry replied.

"poor kid, shits been rough for us but hey at least the socs will be off of everyone's back for a while." said eden "as relived as i am that you guys are here, you all look like crap so please go home and clean up."

they all said their goodbyes, johnny included as they headed out the hospital room leaving eden alone in her thoughts. she'd be out of the hospital by the end of the week but she wished the cast could come off by that time too. she'd have to be homeschooled for a month till she could take the hard cast off of her leg so that meant wearing shorts in the cold month of october and using a wheelchair to get anywhere.

"fuck how will i ever get up the stairs." she sighed, complaining to herself. she decided she'd sleep her thoughts off for her awaited day of doing nothing tomorrow.
