One more folktale

Part 17

It is almost three in the afternoon. They are all done with the day schedule. The baby busy himself with some toys and plushies while Shownu engages himself in reading some books. Kihyun was in the kitchen rearranging the things on the shelf. Suddenly the wind blew with a little high speed and knocked the window open. He closed the windows properly so that it won't open again. He leaves the kitchen and went towards hall.

"Aishh... aigoo...Hyung look at the door, it is wide open. You should've closed it already. Look at the weather outside"

Shownu looks towards the door and realized that the weather is actually not so good

"Ah ... Sorry... I will close it now-"

Kihyun stops him

"Wait...I will close it, you enjoy reading your book right now"

He closed the door with his little fierce personality. Shownu stood there without saying anything and scratched his head. It looks like a married couple quarrel.

"Uh well..I didn't realized that the door was actually open but-"

He was about to continue but again the wind blew very fast and scared the baby. They both go towards him then Kihyun took him in his arms and pacifies him.

"The weather seems to be really bad! I think it's going to rain heavily"

Kihyun guessed about the weather

"No, I think it will going to snow heavily not rain. Look at the clouds through the window glasses, they are of snow."

He replies

"Are you questioning my mind? It will going to rain I am sure."

Kihyun responds

"Umm okay let's see.. but why are you so angry today? Did I do anything?"

He asked

"Do I look angry? Oh come on!! Why would I be angry when I am the one in this household who do laundry alone, who cooks alone, do dishes alone, clean the house all ALONE, then still? You still ask why? I am not angry at all! Don't worry...it is just that Mister that I am on a hiatus, on a kind of leave and all I am doing is, ugh..."

He barged through his words

"Mm wifey seems to be really mad"

*He mumbled*

"What are you saying? Say it aloud"

He asked after seeing that Shownu was mumbling something

"Uh nothing. I think I should help you with it. I will do laundry and help you with the dishes as well okay?"

He said nervously

"Hmm okay. I spare you"

He hid his teasing smile from Shownu and said

"By the way, I was just fooling around. I just wanted to check your reactions"

He laughed out loud

"Aihh yaa! You really scared me...I for real thought that you are mad at me"

Kihyun continues with his laugh and apologises. The winds starts to knock the doors and the windows again. After few minutes, it started snowing.

"Hey look there...see what I told you that it will going to snow"

Kihyun looked outside through the window

"Ah yes hyung...it is really snow...haha you are genius..by the way it still first week of November. Isn't it still early for snow?"

Kihyun asked

"Kihyun_ah, it is not Seoul and the other thing is that it is a countryside place"

He explained

"I see"

Shownu wanders through the entire house to check if there's everything alright and to check if no windows or door are left open. After that he went back towards hall. It seems to be very cold because gradually the weather became extremely freezing. There was no heat source available. They both could handle the temperature but it is not good for the baby.

"Kihyun_ah there is no heat appliances. The weather is not good for the baby."

They both were really worried about the baby

"Umm I think, Minhoon might help us with it. Shall I go and ask?"

Kihyun asked but Shownu stopped him.

"No..you take care of Sarang and I will go and ask him"

He agreed with him and then Shownu went outside and it was snowing so heavily with winds concert. He anyhow arrived at Minhoon's house and knocked the door. Minhoon heard the call and open the door.

"Hi Minhoon_ssi...I need a help"

"Oh Shownu hyung! How can I help you?"

He explained the matter to him and Minhoon gave an extra heat appliance to him.

"Thank you so much Minhoon_ah."

"Don't worry hyung...we already have two more in the house. It was extra one as well. I hope this helps you!"

They thanked each other and then Shownu departed back for the house.
He turns on the heater and it helped them a lot, especially to the baby. Their rooms seems to be a lot more colder than the hall then they took out all the warm blankets and cushions as well as the floor beds and placed it in the hall. It was already 10:00 P.M. Someone knocked loudly on the door. He continues to knock for a minute.

"Hyung I think there's someone outside. Shall we check?"

"You stay here. I will go and check"

He slightly open the door and there was a wounded man standing in front of him. It seems to be wounded really badly. His legs gave up and fell on the door step. Shownu took him inside and placed him on one of the floor bed at the corner. They cleaned his wounds and applied the medications on it. They let him sleep that day at their house. And after an hour, they went back to sleep as well.

The next morning, Kihyun woke up and looked at the corner, the man was still asleep, after half an hour Shownu also woke up and went to the bathroom to freshen up himself. Kihyun prepared the breakfast and some hot soup because of the weather. It hasn't stopped snowing since yesterday. They finished with their breakfast and fed Sarang as well. After an hour, the man opened his eyes and realized that he is at an unknown place. He looked at both of them. Kihyun and Shownu looked at him due to his bruised noises.

"Hey! What happened with you? And what is your name? You seems to be bruited badly. What was all the situation?"

Shownu goes towards him and questions his concerns regarding the unknown man. Kihyun brings the hot veg corn soup for him.

"First, have it. You must have something, because you need energy to speak. Tell us about everything after it"

He finshed the soup and Shownu helped him on the way towards the bathroom. He took a bath and went towards the hall again. Shownu held him with his hands and made him sit down.

"I am sorry.. I caused great inconvenience to you guys...I will take your leave now. Thank you for taking care of me."

They both stopped him.

"You cannot leave like that. You've been wounded very badly"

"Yes, trust us. We would like to help you out. And stay for some days until you get better. I think it is safe for you. The weather outside is still bad. We clearly don't know the matter but did you met with an accident or someone attacked you? Because the bruises on you head, back and legs ...I mean almost all over your body tells a different story."

Shownu spoke

"I don't want to cause more inconvenience to you both but thank you so much for worrying about me."

He agreed to them and further proceeds to tell the matter.
