One more folktale

Part 1

"Mom, I want to know about the village you and dad talked about earlier. I am sorry that I have overheard your conversation but the way you both were so engaged in that talk, I really wanted to be a part of it"

It was a pleasant morning. Kihyun woke up after enjoying a good dream, freshened himself up and went down when his mother called him for breakfast. As Kihyun took a peace of bread, omelette, and a spoonful of yogurt made by his mother he got a sudden urge to ask about the village where his parents, grandparents and their ancestors used to live. Last night his parents thought that he was asleep and they went to balcony and spent a quality time together where they discussed about their native village where their heirs used to reside. They talked about how beautiful, peaceful and calmful was that place where their house was. After a mile ahead, there was a main market centre and a neighboring village where peace was slightly disturbed after the entrance of the tribal people but later they became the natives of the place and decides to sought out the issues evolving unnecessarily that caused the disturbance in peace and hegemony.

"Kihyun_ah, let's finish our breakfast and lunch. We will talk about it with your father at evening okay?"

His mom decides to talk about the said topic during evening together with his father

"Okay Mom"

He muttered

As the time goes by, here comes the evening and they welcomed the dad.

"Appa! Why do you have to go everyday even though now you don't need to do anything anymore. I don't want you to overwork at this age. I am enough right now. Look how tired you are!"

He exclaimed

"Oh Kihyun_ah don't worry about Appa, he is strong enough and he can still carry his family on his bare back. And I am not that old my son...no, no you worry for us like a daughter!"

Kihyun's dad proclaimed

"Okay okay dad I understood. Hey! But I am a boy, don't call me daughter"

Kihyun spoke in annoyance

"Oh! Okay my daughter"

Kihyun's dad spoke in sarcasm

"Dad!!!"

Kihyun exclaimed again

"Oh Honey! Why are you still here? Go and fresh yourself and I'll make a good tea for your refreshment"

Kihyun's Mom saw that Mr. Yoo was still engaged in a not so sensible conversation and didn't freshen himself up, so she asked him to do the evening routine while she went back to the kitchen for the preparation of the evening tea

"Here it is"

Mom came to the living room where her son and husband were changing channels on t.v.

"Media nowadays doesn't show anything interesting. They are all paid ones they show on t.v. What's the use of watching anyway?"

Dad complained in annoyance about the paid media and the kind of news they show nowadays

"I agree dad"

Kihyun nodded in agreement

"Come on stop it with the t.v already you two and focus on the tea whilst warm. Have it before it gets cold"

Mom took the remote control from the dad's hand and switched off the television while the tea has been served hot and fresh

"Okay Okay Mom!"

Kihyun agreed

"By the way Mom didn't we decided to talk about your native village where you both used to live for few years after your marriage? You told earlier to talk about this context when Appa will be back. So dad is back now-"

Kihyun reminded himself about the morning conversation held between him and his mother about the said topic

"Ah yes yes Ki! Honey our Kinyunie wants to know about the village where we and our family used to reside"

Mom explained

"Oh! How do you know about it Kihyun_ah?"

His father asked

"Honey! He overheard our last night conversation but he.....umm why were you awake that late at night Kihyun_ah?"

Mom asked Kihyun about why was he not sleeping because when they had the conversation it was around 2:00 a.m

"Mom, last night I felt like I was walking in a desert and my throat needed some relief. So basically I woke up in the middle of the night to drink some water and heard your convo"

Kihyun explained

"Ohho! So this village was our native place where we, my parents and my grandparents lived for ages. It was such a peaceful and beautiful place Kihyun_ah. Unfortunately, we left the place because of my work and I can't leave your mom at the village alone since it was way far from the city we lived in later. It was impossible for her to live and survive alone without my help though without a doubt she is independent and strong enough to handle herself but as the time goes by, our needs and demands grew different. Kihyun_ah you should visit the place once, it would be very nice and a pleasant walk onto those hilly and prosperous areas"

Kihyun's dad spoke about the village and how they came to city to adapt a new life due to his work

"Okay Appa! I will visit it very soon"

Kihyun agreed

"Enough talk for now. What do you both want to eat for dinner? Ki will you help me in the kitchen?"

"Sure mom"

And that's how the day started and ended in Yoo's residency.

A/N : I've never written a ff before and it's my first time. Also English is not my first language so I request my readers to excuse my errors and It was not a lengthy chapter but I'll try harder than before to make y'all satisfied with my work henceforth.
