Chapter Thirty Six..

*Alexis's POV*

"We can't take you to the hospital," Dom informed me as he crouched down in front of me, before helping me sit up.

I groaned in pain, wincing, I watched blood drip through my fingers as I cupped my shoulder.

"Why the hell not? He will die if you don't help him!" I yelled, outraged.

"Think of the questions!" He yelled back.

"Well then drop him off and let Tamara run in and get help!" I decided, "Then you can run and hide like you always fucking do!"

"Fine, here I found your phones on one of the guys outside. Carlo!" Dom yelled, and waited as Carlo made his way into the room.

"Holy shit! what happened here?" He asked, shocked as he looked around the room. "Who killed the guy?" he added.

"I did." I told him, "Now get Asher to the damn hospital."

Carlo looked at Dom, confused.

"Do as she says," he sighed, before looking at me, "Now what to do with you."

"I'm going with Asher," I told him, matter of factly, as I watched Carlo leave the room to get someone to help him with Asher..

"We can get you help elsewhere." He told me, "I already told you going to the hospital will draw too much attention."

"I don't give a fuck about me, I don't trust you so I'm going to make sure I see that Asher ends up at the hospital with my own eyes, now stop wasting time!" I glared at him, angrily, trying not to show how much pain i was in.

"I really am sorry for shooting you." He told me desperately. I avoided eye contact.
"Just get us to the hospital." I ordered him, before sighing. I was starting to feel lightheaded.
I looked up as Carlo returned, trailed by Falco and Mirco.
My vision blurred as I watched them walk over to Asher.
"I still don't understand why we're helping him." One of the twins muttered, I wasn't sure which one had spoken, as black dots started appearing in my vision.
"Just help him." I pleaded, as Dom helped me stand up.

I had barely even stood, before my legs buckled underneath me and I felt myself falling to the ground, before Dom lifted me up and cradled me in his arms.
"Alexis?" Dom called, as I'd closed my eyes and laid my head against his chest.
"Mhmmmm?" I responded, feeling like I was floating on a cloud.
"Are you okay?" He asked, concerned.
"Nope, I got shot and I feel like I'm on some trash drugs." I mumbled.

"Don't go to sleep Alexis, I won't be able to tell if you're just sleeping or if your condition has deteriorated." He told me, probably looking down at me with his stupid handsome face.
"That sounds like a you problem." I mumbled, before I succumbed to the darkness.

I woke up some time later, in what looked like a makeshift hospital room. My arm was once again in a sling, and I had an IV in my arm. I breathed a sigh of relief that I couldn't feel the pain that was my shoulder. Before gasping in horror. I'd obviously lost consciousness and they'd probably dumped Asher somewhere to die.
I sat up abruptly, before gasping in pain.
I'd definitely felt that.

My heart rate must've spiked, because not five seconds later Dom ran in followed by an older man, who was unfamiliar to me.

"Alexis! You're awake!" He sighed in relief, before rushing over and hugging me.
"No really?" I replied sarcastically, as I awkwardly tried to move out of his arms to no avail.

The doctor didn't speak to me, he just took a look at the machines I was connected to, before unhooking them. He then gestured to the arm my IV was in, wanting me to stretch it out.
I did as he wanted, and watched as he pulled it out, and put a cotton ball and a plaster over the hole left behind.

With that he nodded to Dom and left the room.

"What did you do to Asher?" I asked accusingly, as Dom sat in one of the chairs beside the hospital bed.
He looked at me confused, "We didn't take him to the hospital..." He started, before I interrupted him.
"Are you fucking serious! You left him to die! You talk about how horrible he is. Did you ever think about what his daughters probably going through? I thought maybe you had some redeemable quality in you but obviously I was wrong! You're a monster!" I yelled, breathless by the time I'd finished yelling at him.

"You finished?" He asked, calmly.
"If you'd let me finish, I would've gone on to tell you that we hadn't taken him to the hospital, but we'd brought him here." He told me, before continuing. "God Alexis, at least now I know how you feel about me I guess..." He finished, before he got up and left the room without another word.
