Chapter Fourteen...

[A/N Be aware there has been a time jump of a couple months]

*Alexis's POV*

"Mrs Walker had just finished announcing the King and Queen and everybody had gone back to dancing," I sighed, as I retold the story of that night to yet another Police Officer.

The same thing had been happening for months, I'd go to school, pick Jake up and come back home. Only to be called into the police station to be interrogated all over again.
My story never changed, and yet they still insisted that it was necessary.

"And then what happened?" The lady asked kindly, while jotting down notes.

I wasn't a fool, I knew that they were recording everything I said, I didn't know why the bothered trying to hide it from me.
"It was then that we heard some banging outside before the gym doors opened and a guy was standing there with a gun" I told her.
"Tell me about this 'guy', what did he look like?" She asked.

I sighed loudly, "Half of his face was covered by one of those skulls Bandana's, you know the ones that make the bottom of your face look like a skull?" I told her, showing her with my hands for effect.
"I've heard about them," she murmured, as she continued to write on her note pad.

"Can I please just go home? I'm sick and tired of telling you guy's the same thing. And yet you haven't gotten any closer to finding the guys that killed my best friends!" I yelled, getting frustrated.

"What is the point in getting me to repeat myself anyway?" I asked, as I tried to calm myself down.

"We were hoping that by getting you to retell what happened, that you might remember something, anything, that could help us find them." She told me honestly, before closing her notebook.

"You're free to go; I'll try my best to make your visits less frequent." She told me sincerely, as she got up from her seat.

"Thanks,"

I walked out of the 'interrogation room' as I like to call it and waved to the receptionist as I walked out of the electric doors.

It was then that someone smacked into me, resulting in me being roughly pushed to the ground.

I picked myself up, ridding my butt of dirt as I did so.

"Alexis?" I heard a familiar voice above me.

"Dom? Where have you been?" I asked, shocked.

"It's been months! And now you decide to finally reappear!" I yelled, as I smacked him in the chest.

"I've been so worried and you couldn't even spare me a phone call..." I muttered, as I glared at him.

"I've been-' he grimaced, "dealing with some things." His face was clear of emotion as he stared straight into my eyes.

He looked the same as he did before this whole fiasco, hair tousled as if hands had been run through it carelessly, leather jacket wrapped around his shoulders like armour, and his hands pushed deep in his jean pockets, like a typical teenager with no worries.

But there was something off about him, there was no emotion is his dark eyes, not the humour I'd gotten used to seeing over the month's, not the happiness I'd seen when he looked at his best friends, instead it was like looking into an empty void.

"Are you okay?" I asked, softly, resting my hand on his leather clad shoulder.

"I'm fine," he said stiffly, brushing past me, before walking into the police station.
