MAHREEN

We zoomed off together with Ahmad

"How was your therapy munchkin" Ahmad asked
"Don't call me that!" I yelled

"It was good, an elderly woman told us a story about her child, her only child who got abducted and was killed at last......" I narrated the story

"Ohhh God. The country is no longer safe. She's definitely going through alot, May the almighty make it easy for her and all others going through tragedies of life" Ahmad prayed

"Amin ya rabb" i mumured
"So, who was the man you were with earlier? He seemed like a gentleman. I saw the way he was looking at you. You were shining your thirty-two teeth, so excited like a free bunny... you..."

"Wait!" I cut him off
"Please breath! Just drive okay? He's someone I met today, and he's Fadeela's elder brother,he's going through a lot too. I'm just being friendly because he needs it. He needs someone" I stated.

"My sister is a Good Samaritan. Don't get too attached okay?" Ahmad warned

"I'm grown now, I know what's right and wrong, I don't need you to lecture me" I said with a pout.
"The last time you didn't heed to my words, you got your heart broken and almost got married off without your consent" Ahmad reminded me

He's right! If only I did as he said, I wouldn't have gotten my heart broken.
Huh! Asad should be home now too. Poor him, he'll be lonely, haunted by the memories of his past! How could she do that to him? A man like him, his radiant smile, his cologne, his soothing voice! Ya rahmaan.
"Wait! What!! Why am I thinking about all these" I said out loud
"Thinking about what?" My brother asked
"Uhmm.. no it's nothing".
"Well, I'm not going inside now, I'm going to the gym. So just tell Umma I'll be back after 6:00" Ahmad said
"Alright I will. Get home early. It's not safe out there" I said
"Say that again! Awwww! Someone cares." Ahmad teased
"Just get home in one piece" I said and dropped from his car.
I watched him leave and went inside. The parlor was empty, I think Umma is upstairs. I went to her room and she was praying. So I left to my room.

ASAD'S POV

I need to know the reason Mahreen is attending this therapy. Wait! Is she a drug addict? Uhh no! That's huge! Maybe trying to get over someone! Silly girls, they keep getting their hearts broken.

I brushed off the thought as I drove to Ummi's house.

"Assalamualaikum(peace be upon you)" I said as i entered Ummi's parlor.

Her face brightened seeing me, her adorable son coming but she masked her emotions and wanted to be hard on me.

"Wa'alakumusalam (peace be upon you too)" she said looking sideways

"Mama how are you?" I said hugging her

"As you can see, I'm alive and well. Asad, it seems like you've forgotten your mom" mama said sheepishly

"Ummi work has been hectic and I've started this therapy" i said

"It's good to hear you're willing to move on, I'm proud of you. May Allah see you through" she said with a smile holding my hands
"Ummi! You are like no one else. Thank you. I will always lov..."

"Don't even start with you sugar coated words" she cut me off!
"I know what you're about to say. I'm still pissed" she added

"Ummi ! What do I have to do? Just name it?" I asked, my voice almost a whisper and trying to fake tears.

"Tomorrow is your sisters birthday, take her out, she should invite few friends. You also need to spend time with her" Ummi said

"Well, it's been a while. If that's what you want, consider it done". I said assuring her.
"May God bless you bomboy " Ummi teased
"I'm a grown man now, if you keep calling me that, I might go back to being a baby" I said smiling.
I always love it when she calls me bomboy but I just have to show otherwise. I took the stairs and headed to my sisters room.
I didn't even bother knocking because the door was wide open.
"Lulu? Lulu??? Fadeelatuuu?" I called out but didn't hear her.
I picked the sticky note on her bookshelf and wrote...
..."Lulu! It's been two weeks I last saw you. I hope you've finally plated your hair. I stopped by. You weren't in your room, I wanted to see you. Well, invite two of your friends tomorrow. It's your birthday, I know you haven't forgotten. It's on me. With love, Yaya" I sticked it to her mirror and left.
When I came down to say goodbye to mama, I saw her there.
"Yaya!" She said running to me

"Wait! I smell onions on you, so you were in the kitchen. I was in your room just now." I said

"What did you do in my room? Girls don't like guys going through their stuff" she said smirking
"I'm not any guy! Come here! I'm your first guy" I said pulling her
"Oh yes! You're right. What present am I getting this year? It's my birthday tomorrow". She said
"I left you a note on your mirror. Check it later. I have to go. Call me later" I said

Mama watched us displaying our childishness and she was enjoying it.
"I have to go home Mama, I'll call you later" I said
"Isn't the house too empty for you? Just stay here with us " Lulu said
"It's fine, I've learnt not to run away from things but to face them" I said
"Sound like a quote my friend always say" Lulu tried to remember
"Well, I have to go Mama. Good bye"
I said and Lulu tagged along to see me off.
"I'll call you" she said
I didn't answer. When I was about entering the car, I tickled her and ran around the car and dived in.
"You're still a boy Yaya" she said
I laughed and waved her as I went out of the gate.

Surprise here's an update!!
How was it!!
