Chapter 15: The End is just a New Beginning.

     The blood trail at some point grew less visible, but once Shinra arrived at the location that Kunizuka mentioned, she knew that she was on the right track. Damn, I left the stunt baton with them. She through while she pulled out her Dominator from the back of her pants. Staring down at it for a moment, she scoffed before throwing it to the distance as hard as her body could manage. After shaking her head, her feet began to move again, unarmed but is not like her Dominator would have been of any help.

     The female's eyes scanned carefully on the vehicles she passed by, making sure they were empty. Yet, she was working a little hasty as she didn't want her last opportunity to go to waste. By the time she was lifting herself to verify one of the vehicles, she hears a loud screeching sound of tires rolling on the ground suddenly. Making her drop down from the truck she was inspecting to run down the halls made by the vehicles. When arriving at the Garage entrance, she sees a Truck speeding off with a familiar Inspector holding onto the back of it.

     "Akane!" Screamed Kogami, who was at the time holding a Dominator at his hands. For once, Shinra saw fear and worry on that man's face as he rose from the ground.

     "Enforcer Kogami!" Shinra called out as she ran over to him as the man almost dashed off and out that Garage after the truck left. Shinra managed to stop him right before the man got too far. "Don't be stupid!" She tugged on his shoulder before running back to one of the nearest and not blocked trucks available in that Garage. Having to open on the passenger seat to climb on through there. "Hurry up!" She called out again as she left the door open and slide over to the driver's side. Starting one of these vehicles wouldn't be difficult, at least, and all thanks to the System their living. With the key's already stuck in the ignition, all Shinra had to do was turn that key, and the vehicle roars to life. Her eyes shift out the door to face the dark-haired man still hanging outside. "What the hell are you even waiting for?!" She called again to Kogami with a stern expression lingering on her face.

     Maybe it was the shock alone or his conflict of emotions clashing together, but Kogami only snapped back by the last words that Shinra practically barked to him. Gave one last glance to the figure of Tsunemori growing smaller with the moving truck dashing off before he cussed under his breath then ran towards the waiting vehicle. Impulsed by his running, the man jumped right inside the passenger side and through the open door. Once inside the truck, with a slam, the door was closed behind Kogami. He dropped the Dominator he had been holding on the space between the driver and the passenger seat while clenching his teeth tightly. His eyes fell to the truck gaining more and more distance from that factory. Before he could even say anything, Shinra was already speaking up.

     "Hold on!" Shinra spoke before shifting the gear and slamming her foot on the gas, making the tires screech and the truck shake a little before she was also dashing out that Garage. "Can you tell me what on Earth is Tsunemori thinking?! How does she expect to stop a moving vehicle like that?" She questioned Kogami, but before the other could even give her an answer, her eyes widened. "She... Does she have your gun?!" She asks, almost hissing at the male.

     Kogami frowned, but his eyes didn't stray away from the other truck ahead of them. "She took it from me before and gave me this Dominator instead. Somehow is set only on paralyzer mode without any lock on who it can shoot." The man explained just as his hands clenched over his thighs. "Trust me. It wasn't my idea." He adds. "As to what she is thinking, for once I am hoping to be wrong..." He almost muttered under his breath.

     Shinra glared at the other male, later peeked at the Dominator for a second, but her eyes didn't linger away from the road long. As she faced forward again, she clenched her teeth while her narrowing her eyebrows in deep concern. "Knowing her... you ain't wrong." She muttered in reply.
