The night came to pass both peacefully and quietly until around dawn when Shinra finally woke up abruptly and startled by the beeping of her wrist-com. Being wrapped up in blankets made her forget where she was and with the hasty movement she ended falling off the couch with a quiet grunt while the ringing continued. "Shit...." She cussed while she managed to finally reach her wrist-com and shut it up. It was her alarm transfer, one she set up with Windy just in case she never made it home and had a shift to go to in a few hours. With a gasp the female finally managed to get herself untangled from the blanket and her messy hair popped out into view as her eyes widely scanned the room quickly, her breathing a little hasty due the previous startle. She wasn't in her room and that alone was pretty obvious by now but her familiar surroundings caused for her to relax a little while a hand reaches up to brush back her bed hair that was now half tied in a bun. At least she didn't felt too bad but her throat was feeling pretty dry. Thank's to Masaoka's tales, I was able to save my ass from one heck of a hangover... Shinra thought to herself while she now worked up to get herself off the ground after practically pealing the blanket off her. "So tired..." She murmured to herself while reaching up to her face to try and wipe away the sleep from it.

"That's what you get from drinking during work days. That was quite a fall." She hears a familiar voice speak up from around that spacious area. Masaoka who was at the light up kitchen was leaning against a counter drinking some coffee from a mug. "There's coffee already prepared if you want some." He adds before taking another long sip from his mug.

Shinra had already turned towards the sound of Masaoka's voice her expression a little drowsy. It took her a moment or two but slowly her hands gripped on the blankets to fold them properly as she set them down on the couch. "That was a rather pathetic sight to behold, sorry about that." She apologizes and reaches to loosen up her hair to gently brush it again but this time into a more messy type of bun but at least it was no longer a bed hair. "I think I'll pass, I have inconvenienced you enough." The female expresses and moves to grab on her coat from the armrest of the couch.

Masaoka sighs but moves to place his mug down on the counter to then move to grab another where he pours some black coffee inside. "There's nothing you need to apologize for, but if you allow this old man to give you some advice..." He walks around the counter to approach Shinra's location as he hands the mug over. "You should be more careful around Enforcers, from men in general... What would have happened if I wasn't the one to find you when that other guy was taking you by force?" He expresses at her while Shinra took the mug with a quiet thanks. "You're a strong detective with a bright future ahead of you. Yet you can't forget that most men are wolves when around beautiful women." He adds while turning to walk back towards the kitchen.

Shinra was sipping on her coffee carefully; not minding that it was black thought it was quite strong. She observed and listened to Masaoka quietly, she understood what he meant but at the same time she felt like he was treating her like a frail woman. "If that Enforcer would have tried anything I would have acted upon it." The woman states first before she stares down at her black coffee. "As for men being wolves, wouldn't that also include you?" The female questions while her eyes lift again from the coffee only to widen a bit at the laugh that Masoaka let escape at her question.

"I'm already and old man, Fukugawa. You could literally pass for my daughter in any case." Masaoka states first and grabs his mug of half-drank coffee to later face in Shinra's direction. "Still, I am very serious. Men are wolves. I'm aware of your strength while in stable or unstable state of mind but last night you weren't in either of those states. You were not at your full strength nor would have been able to stop a grown man like that Enforcer from attempting anything if he had those plans." He explained to her causing her to frown a little. "You saw it for yourself once, didn't you? How strong a man can be when they want something..." He reminded her with a slight stern face.
