three months passed.

things were going smoothly in the first two months, but then it went downhill last month. while you became so attached to Louis, he acted the polar opposite.

he used to spend almost every day with you, even if he had little time. now he barely ever texts you back. when he does however, he uses the same exact excuse, "sorry man, i'm busy rn. i'll text u later". you never had the nerve to tell him how you felt, so you keep it all to yourself.

surely he has his reasons, and he has a life of his own, who am i to tell him what to do?

but today, you just couldn't help but tell someone about the whole situation. so, after keeping it all in for ages, you decide to meet up with your old friend, Olivia. she was a very trustworthy friend of yours, so you told her everything. besides, you havent met up with her for a long time, so maybe you both could do some catching up?

"y/n! oh my God it's been a while. did you grow taller or did i just shrink?"

you grinned. "hey Liv! and no, maybe you just shrunk. shrink a little more so i can feel taller."

she laughed and you did the same. for about an hour or so, both of you told stories and some recent events you've been going through. eventually the topic shifted to your love lives. apparently she found someone new and she told you that they've been dating for a while now.

"i'm glad he's treating you like the queen you are,"

"aww, thankyou! and how about you? have you found that special someone?"

you tried your best to not frown, but you couldn't help it.

"oh, sorry. i didn't mean to-"

"nah mate, it's fine."

"don't 'it's fine' me, bitch. what's wrong? you can tell me."

so, you did tell her, but you didn't exactly tell her who the guy was.

she listened carefully and patiently.

when you were done she asked, "i'm sorry you have to go through that. got everything out your chest yet?"

you nodded.

"well, in my opinion," she paused for a bit, and you drank some of your coffee. "leave him, y/n. it's starting to get toxic. besides, he sounds like a shitty guy to be with."

"pfft, toxic? what? nahh-"

"miss girl.. do you not realize? you're doing all that 'cuz you're scared of losing him."

you paused and thought of it.

am i?

nah.

but what if i am?

"honestly i think you should just confront whoever that sucker is. its for your own good anyway."

"you sure? i'm not really the type to-"

Liv's phone vibrated, signaling that she got a text. her eyes went wide for a split second, then she abruptly got up from her seat. "ah, sorry y/n. i gotta go. hope you figure shit out though. just try to not get more attached than you already are now, it'll hurt you. i'll pay, if that helps."

"oh, for real? thanks mate. i'll stay here for a bit to figure things out. thanks for the advice."

she smiled and nodded, paid for the drinks, and left in a rush.

feeling lonely, you moved to the seat next to the huge front window. 

looking out from the window, you noticed that it just started drizzling. the sky was getting darker and people were walking with umbrellas. the café played a mellow jazz tune, and everyone in the café was doing things of their own. there was a cozy feeling to the café that made you warm inside.

okay, focus. now what am i gonna do with this Louis thingy...

you thought about just leaving it the way it is, but it's already painful enough to stay silent about all of this. but confronting.. is it really necessary?

"man i wish i wasn't so indecisive," you mumbled to yourself.

after an hour or so, you finally finished your coffee, so you decided to just go home and watch some Netflix to distract you.

i should probably go home, the rain's probably gonna get worse.

what you saw next made you feel like you lost hope on everything.
