"yes! yes, we'd love to hang out." said Ellie.
Charlton looked at you in hesitation, as if saying "i asked you, not her".
"sure, why not."
he smiled. "sounds great. where can i meet you guys?"
Ellie spoke up again. "meet us here tomorrow at 7!"
"cool. hey y/n, can i have your number?"
"sure! here, i'll type it on your phone."
he handed you his phone. after typing your number on his phone, you decided to name the contact. nothing special, just "y/n (old friend)".
"here." you handed him his phone.
"thanks, i'll text you later. see you guys tomorrow!" he waved at you both and left.
as soon as Charlton was out of sight, Ellie turned to you. "oh my goodness did a cute boy just asked us both to hang out?! wooo! best day of my life!"
"you crushing hard on him huh.."
she playfully rolled her eyes. "well duh."
you both laughed.
"aight so where you wanna go for dinner?" she asked.
"can we just order pizza? i'm in the mood for pizza right now."
she chuckled. "okay okay. i'mma text Steve to pick us up."
you both waited for a bit and Steve pulled up with the same Rolls-Royce.
"so how was the concert?" asked Steve, trying to start a conversation.
"cool. had a really great time." said Ellie with a wide grin.
"i liked it. lots of amazing things happened, and i got to meet one of my old friends." you said, grinning as well.
"i'm glad you two enjoyed the concert!" said Steve.
your phone dinged. it was a text from an unknown number.

(20: 45 PM) ??? : hey, charlton here. is this y/n?
(20: 45 PM) you: the one and only.
you saved his number.
(20: 45 PM) Charlton: 😂 cool. so um abt the hangout tmrw..
(20: 46 PM) you: whats up w/that?
(20: 46 PM) Charlton: J and the others are also touring 'round melbourne tmrw andddd i'm supposed to be with them.
(20: 46 PM) you: oh k i get it, its fine:)
(20: 46 PM) Charlton: waaait im not finished typing!
