Don't Cry

Jeha laid her down on the bench and began to give her mouth-to-mouth. "Anna! Anna, wake up!" He said shaking her as she held her face.

'No Anna, please don't die." He said to himself. He repeatedly gave her mouth-to-mouth. He was shaking her, calling out for her, and checking her pulse.

The rest of the agents gathered around him. "Where the hell is the ambulance?!" Jeha said and the agents grew frustrated as well.

He performed mouth to mouth a couple more times and then Chief Joo pulled up. Jeha picked her up and placed her in the back seat.

Jeha opened the front door " Get out punk." He got in the driver's seat and started to drive like a bat out of hell. He was going 80 to 100 on the road.

"This is K2. I'm heading for the nearest hospital."

"No, head to the JSS infirmary." Chief Joo said. 

"What?"

"Just step on it! If we go to the hospital we'll all be dead!"

"Damn it!" Jeha said out loud. He floored it. Honking his horn trying not to hit propel. He was swerving in and out of lanes. Being very much a reckless driver. But he knew time was so important right now.

He pulled into the parking lot hopped out and grabbed her from the backseat. The agents were ready for them and Jeha placed her on the stretcher and rolled her in.

While all of this going on someone uploaded a photo of Avianna at the park on the internet. The caption was "I think this is Lafelts Angel." The internet blew up and started tagging and tweeting about the photo.

The medical chief was hooking Avianna to a heart monitor. "Sir, you need to go?"

"Why?" Jeha didn't want to let her out of his sight.

"You'll only be a hindrance, you need to leave."

"Ok... sure.... Yes." Jeha felt like the world was spinning. He slowly walked out of the room while keeping his eyes on Avianna. She was being put on oxygen. The last hour replayed his mind. He truly couldn't believe that this was happening.

Jena put his head in his hands. Everything was replaying in his mind. From their first encounter at the train station, the time at Madam Choi's house, the ramen. Everything. It felt like an eternity waiting for any update.

Avianna started to remember that one fateful night of her mother's death. She remembers a light shining from underneath the door. She walked closer to the room and opened the door. Her mother was then lying on the floor with the pills right next to her.

"No," Avianna whispered as she began to sweat profusely. And then she shot up from the hospital bed and snatched the oxygen mask off of her.

The medical chief went to her side as she was breathing heavily. "Are you ok? Does anything hurt?" Jeha was looking through the window to see what was going on.

Avianna looked at her surroundings and was highly confused. "Where am I?" She asked the medical chief.

"You are at the JSS infirmary in the headquarters. Mr. Jeha brought you here from the park. If you had come a little late. It would've been very serious."

Avianna looked out of the window where Jeha was. And they locked eyes. She started to think about how he performed mouth-to-mouth to her. And how he fought to save her at the train station. 'Why does he keep saving me?' She thought to herself. And then she looked away.
