Jeha saw the shadow on top of the main house. It was a human shadow. He pulled out his phone and called Miran. She didn't answer though because she was in a deep sleep.

"Damn it." He said. He was worried that someone was trying to sneak into the house. He hopped from one ledge to another. He then grabbed the edge of the main house roof and pulled himself up.

Jeha started to sneak up on the roof trying to see who the mystery person was. To his surprise it was Avianna.

"Huh?" He said to himself quietly. She was sitting on the roof with her knees up to her chest. She was eating dry ramen while a baby kitten ate a small bowl of kimchi.

"Jeez, it was just her and a cat." Jeha took a huge sigh of relief. "She scared me, damn it."

He watched her as she snacked on the dry ramen. The small kitten finished his food and went by her feet. He started to beg for more food in small whines.

Avianna looked at the kitten "You can't eat this. It's too hard." The kitten cried some more for some of the dry ramen.

"What did I say? I told you no." She said chastising the kitten. Jeha watched as Avianna gave in and broke off pieces of her ramen for the kitten.

"I'm hungry too, you know." She was still a little bitter that she couldn't make ramen.

The kitten's mother then meowed for her child to come back. And with that, the kitten left. And Avianna was all alone once again.

She was always alone. Ever since she was a child. Jeha's smile dropped as he watched her face go into a silent cry. She began to cry at the memories of when she gave her mother the pill bottle.

Maybe if she was smarter at that age, then her mother would still be here. But reality was still reality and she began to sob.

Jeha felt so bad. He has no idea what she has been through. He wanted to go up there and hug her. He wanted to be her friend so she could have a shoulder to cry on. But he couldn't.

He was still very far from her so she didn't see him. He just sat there and listened to her cry. He wanted to be there even if she didn't know it.

After a while, Avianna wiped her tears and started to make her way back into the room. Jeha was going to follow her because he needed to know how she fooled the thermal cameras.

She crawled back into the attic window. The attic was linked to her bedroom. She opened her bedroom door and pulled the cord to her heated blanket that was wrapped up, from her bed.

She walked in closed the door and got ready for bed. Jeha saw this all and was impressed. He tried to crawl into the window but he was a little too big for it. With a little bit of finesse, he got into the attic.

He looked around the attic trying to be quiet. He smiled to himself 'She isn't as innocent as she looks.' Jeha was proud of her for somehow finding a loophole so she could have her privacy.

He was about to get ready to leave but then he saw a picture on one of the desks. He picked it up and inspected it. In the picture it was her mom, Avianna when she was about five, and assemblyman Jang.

It was clear that this attic was her safe space. It had tons of books, arts and crafts stuff, and sewing stuff. The picture did add to the pity that Jeha felt for her. He was growing a strong sense of attachment towards her.

It was now morning, Miran woke up and saw she had a missed call from Jeha.

"Oh my god, he called me this late."She face palmed herself that she missed his call. "And I was fucking dead asleep."
