Her Story

The Night Alina Michels Died:

Alina sat on her couch, downing her fourth glass of wine that night. As usual, she and Avianna were left with broken promises. He didn't show up, and she knew deep down that he wouldn't. But his absence didn't hurt any less.

She took a look back on her life and thought about all the things that led her to this place.

Alina was originally born as Alina Iman Brockter. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia. Her story starts sad as she was in foster care as early as she could remember.

She bounced from home to home. The abuse happened at every door she walked through. At 16 she emancipated herself and fought to make ends meet.

She did small acting and modeling gigs. But as soon as she was of age, she
became a waitress and go-go dancer. Alina loved life but it was clear that she was meant for more.

She remembered the day she landed the job for Talin Ammond. His show changed her life. He was an up-and-coming black designer who fought to be taken seriously in the fashion world.

She gives all of her credit to Talin. From there, she skyrocketed to fame. She started on the catwalks and magazines then made it to big blockbusters.

Everyone loved her. There wasn't a day that people fought to have her in something. Her twenties were filled with traveling the world and having all the luxuries she could ask for.

She did have a few faults though. Alina couldn't be alone. The thought of going to sleep in an empty bed would make her stay up for days so she didn't have to.

Her track record with men was certainly not the best. It didn't take much for a man to infiltrate her heart. And it didn't take much for her to forgive them.

Another fault of hers was that she was kind. And at times too forgiving of those who hurt her.

Alina ended up in Korea after doing an international show and some ads for big companies. One of the companies is JB Group.

Though Asian countries were known for their profound racism. They loved her. And boy, did she love them back.

Jang Sejoon wooed her with his charms and charismatic personality. He made her feel a love that she had never felt before. He lit a fire in her bones and sated every desire that she had.

They went on dates, traveled the world, and let many nights of passion take over. He spoiled and showered her with everything that she could want.

But she didn't care about the materials. She cared about the love he held for her. She longed for the sweet and calming touches. In her world, all she needed was him.

But, he was engaged. And engaged to the daughter of JB Group. She had no idea. She had no idea that she was his mistress. He hides it so well from her. He was a master at living a double life.

She remembered the day Yoojin called her. "You're just his exotic whore for the week. Don't think you're special. Because at the end of the day, he comes home to me. He's marrying me."

Yoojin made him talk on the phone. "I'm sorry, Alina. I have to end this. I have to be with my wife."

Alina's heart broke. She had been with many men. And she had never been a mistress. Ever. So to watch a year of love fall down the drain wrecked her.

She knew better. She should've taken time to heal and took time to move on. Instead, she met Brian, her sweet sweet Brian. He was half Korean and half American. And was a well-established movie director.

And he truly loved her with everything he had. In two years of their happy relationship, they got engaged. She was at the point in her life where she wanted a family.
