Selena's P.O.V.

As soon as the bell rang, indicating the end of the school day, everyone rushed out of their classes and past the exit door. I hate how everyone pushes and shoves In such a hurry. They act as if they don't leave in the next ten seconds, then they'll get stuck here forever. I'm just glad they don't even get more than a feet near me. The perks of being a bitch, I suppose.

"What why not, Selly?! You two would be so damn cute together." Demi whined as we walked past the door.

"Demi, stop it." I groan beyond annoyed.

Since her announcement at lunch about claiming that Justin and I are a couple at the party, she hasn't stopped going on about us being perfect. This is the result of having Demi as a best friend. She's a motivated, annoying, dramatic, and very invested. I'm not sure when , how or even why she decided to become the schools matchmaker. Imagine having to follow your crazy best friend around just to pull her away from people when she begins to tell them who would be their perfect soul mate! Nevertheless, she's amazing and always there.

We began to make our way towards Demi's cousins car.

"When you're around him, I see this light in you. I see this glow in your eyes, Selena. I don't know what it is but . . . you two are perfect together." She's suddenly serious but still wears a cheeky smile.

"Glowing eyes huh?" I laugh, "I'm not a werewolf, Demi."

"Why are you ignoring what I'm saying!?" She let's out an averaged groan.

"Oh, trust me, no matter how hard I try I can still hear your nonsense."

"C'mon! If you don't agree to this, you'll be stuck with Jonathan." She bites down on her lip, knowing very well that is a complete lie.

No guy will ever have the pleasure to claim me as his without my consent. Jonathan on the other hand, will never ever ever have the endearing right to call me his. He doesn't control the whole goddamn world! Even if I were insane enough to somehow gain feelings for the motherfucker, I still wouldn't date him. He treats girls like complete shit. Like they're his toys that he can do whatever he pleases with. And that includes his girlfriends.

He thinks he's a player but he's far from that. He can't be anything if he doesn't even know how to play the game. And he certainly can't claim he does. Just as everyone says, action speaks louder than words.

We reach Demi's cousins car and like always, they aren't here yet. We always have to wait for them.

"My ass I'll get stuck with him." I laugh, amused that she'd even waste her breath.

"We all know how he is, Selena." She sighs. "He'll claim you regardless and no guy will ever get near you without the fear of getting jumped by his gang."

"And then he'll have to deal with my gang," I hiss.

Her eyebrows crease down in confusion. "Selena, I'm your gang."

"And we'll give him hell, boo," I grin a cheeky grin at her.

"Well, yeah," she chuckled. "But Justin?"

"What about Justin?" I ask, throwing my bag upon of the hood of the car.

"He said he would do the race, Selena, for you."

"I know." I sigh and look away from her confused intense stare.

And I'm glad she decides to let it go.
