Keefe POV
Keefe was nervous.
He knew that the camp would be fine. He would be fine. They had *probably* defeated the Neverseen, and were finally able to relax a bit.
The counseling job was suggested by Councillor Oralie. The idea was a good one, and it had been pretty easy to get his dad to agree.
Ro was a different story. Their bodyguards were mostly weeding out the few scattered Neverseen members left or watching over the Alicorns at Havenfield, but Ro was hiding in the forest to make sure they didn't get ambushed. The camp spot was pretty simple, with a small fire pit, a bunch of trees and branches, and two large, semi-modern buildings that were the boy's and girl's restrooms.
They were well equipped, which was good because Groves 2 and 3 were both using the same station every day for showers and changes of clothes as well. The main campfire circle had many benches spread around the area, and the temperature was nice for now. Keefe was excited for the weeks of fun activities and new friends. He checked the schedule to see which of his friends would be setting the table or helping cook as a representative of Grove 1 right now, and later helping him lead the campers.
He had to look again when he saw the listings.
Sophie?
His co-Counselor was Sophie Foster, the one person he truly cared about and wanted to impress. He hurried towards the Dining Hall for the pre-camp meeting. Hopefully, he would have good ideas, impress Sophie, and be able to come up with the perfect plan to have the best summer ever!
Percy POV
Percy watched the cars on the freeway zoom by the bus they were on. He was excited about the camp. It would definitely be interesting to see how other camps were run and enjoy the few years before college somewhere where nobody would expect anything from him.
It had barely been a year since the first Great Prophecy, and Percy would definitely enjoy the break after his second. As he was looking out the window, he saw a familiar blonde girl with a crimson streak in her hair in the window of another bus. Sadie Kane? What were the odds they were going to the same camp? It had to be a coincidence, or maybe the gods talked to each other or something.
The bus that had pulled up to theirs began to speed up, and before they passed, Percy saw the girl in the window wave to them. Definitely Sadie. He wondered if maybe he would run into someone else he knew, like Magnus, Annabeth's cousin. Probably not though, since the residents of Valhalla didn't leave very often.
Alex POV
Alex looked out the window, thinking about her mom, Loki. It was a long story she was glad to leave behind.
A soft snore from the seat next to her broke her thoughts. She had no idea how Magnus had fallen asleep in the noisy bus. The camp would be fun.
While Alex was definitely more comfortable with the daily battles that happened in Valhalla, she was ready to be done with the constant looking out for death and large axes for a while. Some of the stuff in the brochure looked pretty interesting, and the best part was that instead of fake smile pictures, there were pictures of counselors singing, kids on hikes and ziplining people, all smiling in their own way. Fake smiles just looked, well... fake.
Alex was definitely glad for the "no outside cameras" rule. She definitely understood from a safety and privacy viewpoint, but she also hated when girls did that selfie-head-magnetism thing and the I'm-smiling-but-my-eyes-hate-you look that happened so often, so thank the stars for that.
Hey, Galactlings! *waves at you* Yet another update for this story. I know that the titles probably need work, but I've been trying to have them semi-relate to the story.
Remember; May the fourth be with you!
