We stayed in the room for what felt like forever and talked about whatever came to our mind. Emma ended up gaving Dan and I a massive speech about how being gay wasn't a bad thing too, she fully supported us and it seemed as if she hated management as much as we did. Eventually, one of us had the idea of checking the time which turned out to be close to midnight, signaling that we should leave. "Emma, it's been great but we really have to go. Everyone's probably wondering where we are."
I stood up after speaking and held my hand out to help Dan stand up which he took almost instantly. Emma nodded understandingly and reached for the notebook and pen she had earlier, quickly scribbling something down then handing it to us. "If you ever need somebody to talk to, somebody who is on your side 100%, I'm here for you. Feel free to shoot me a text or a call anytime. I usually work the late shifts alone too so it's not like anyone's going to tell my boss I was on my phone if you need me."
Dan let go of my hand and pulled her into a tight hug as soon as he took the piece of paper and stuffed it in his pocket. "Thank you so, so much. This has meant the world to me," he pulled back and glanced over at me, "to us. I'll send you a text once I'm back on the bus, my phone's dead now."
I laughed while looking over at Dan, of course his phone was dead. "What? Your phone's dead? I had no idea that it'd die if you were on it all day." Dan shoved me playfully as he grinned, causing me to laugh even harder. "Violent. Anyway," I turned away from him and back to Emma, "thank you for all of this. I'm so glad that at least one fan supports us."
"I know, I'm pretty great, aren't I," she teased before grabbing a tub of ice cream from one of the coolers, "alright now you two need to get going. Take this so if anyone asks, you'll have an excuse for where you were. Just say you were craving ice cream so you walked to the nearest store to buy some for everyone. You don't have to pay me for it either, workers get a tub for free each week and I'm getting kind of sick of ice cream."
"Emma, you're the best," Dan blurted out before grabbing ahold of my hand again, holding the tub of ice cream in his free hand. "We should probably go now, babe. I promise that I'll text you as soon as I'm on the bus."
"Bye guys. It was lovely meeting both of you," she smiled and we both waved before stepping out of the building.
"It's getting really late and I'm sure the fans are probably leaving by now. Let's put our hoods up just to be safe," I suggested while putting the hood of my hoodie over my head and doing the same to Dan once he nodded in agreement since his hands were full. "Oh.. And.. Erm.. 'Babe'," I started, smiling at the word he had said earlier, "do you want to make this official now or wait until Janna is out of the picture?"
Dan stopped walking and turned to me, wide eyed with a massive grin on his face. "Is Kyle Simmons.. The Kyle Simmons asking me out?"
"Dork." I reached a hand forward to lightly place it on his cheek, softly caressing his skin with my thumb and smiling as I did so. "Maybe he is. What's your answer?"
Dan shrugged, turning his face away to try and hide his smile. "I don't know.. That Kyle guy seems like the type of lame guy who would bring the guy he liked to an ice cream parlor as a first date," he teased. "I'm only joking, of course I want to make things official. I want to be yours, Janna doesn't matter. I've already claimed you and your lips."
I leaned in to connect my lips with his, smiling at how right it all felt. "I'm yours and only yours, that's all that matters."

Dan and I arrived at the tour bus almost at one. We made sure that we took every long path we could find and avoided every shortcut to get back to the bus, only laughing and stopping to have long, passionate kisses once it started to rain. "So what did we miss?" I asked, shoving the tub of ice cream into the small fridge. "We have twist ice cream if anyone likes it."
"Well.." Woody glanced over at everyone else in the room besides Dan and I, possibly making sure it was alright for him to talk about what happened while we were gone. Will nodded in response, allowing Woody to continue on. "Management knows about your little date and they're not too happy about it. They set us up to have an interview in the morning where Kyle will be able to talk about his girlfriend..”
"Fucking fantastic," I mumbled sarcastically and led Dan to where all the beds where, pulling him onto his bed which was the closest. "Let's go to sleep now alright, love? I don't want to deal with them."
He didn't protest. He laid down on the bed and before I knew it, I was holding him in my arms. I guess it was weird to say, but holding him seemed like a natural instinct now. I just did it without thinking which I didn't really mind.
I smiled as he snuggled into my arms and it wasn't long before he was snoring, his face being pressed against my chest. I tilted my head down slightly, kissing his head once it was against my lips. "Goodnight... Boyfriend," I whispered, putting emphasis in the title.
